Well tbh, your problem should have been reported long time ago because part of the code in which you have a problem was done long time before I joined to the Team .

No worries mate. Now I know it's a non-issue.

Don't know what other aspects of MP functionality are affected by this but I guess nothing that I've ever used .

Anyway, now I'm able to enjoy MyVideos the way you intended and (whistling a well known burger chain advertising jingle) "I'M LOVING IT!"

Hey Deda,

Now that my last little issue is out of the way, can we talk "years"again .

You may (or may not) recall that I reported issues around this some time ago and you very kindly fixed it for me.

Well, on reflection I'm wondering how useful people find this feature? I'm not suggesting it shouldn't be included but I am wondering if perhaps the "Moving Pictures" approach is more practical ( be gentle ).

For example if I'm looking for a movie and for some strange reason I think that searching by year is the best way to find it I suspect I have more of a chance of guessing which decade it was released in than I have remembering the exact year.

Not a big thing but I'm wondering whether it would be technically possible and/or beneficial?

Just a thought. Feel free to shoot me down in flames .

mick , you have a years view ... (check hidden menu "Switch View" Button > #7 on menu is view by years)

Would be helpful to have in title view search by some database fields ie.: now we have by Movie name only so if I put menu after you click Search Movie with contents like

1. By Movie Title
2. By Director Name
3. By Actor Name
4. By Actor Role
5. By Year

so you choose 5 and enter string 99 and will see all movies from 1990-1999 ( and 1899 if you are feeling lucky ) or any other option with something related to selected search term?

Don't ask me for more complex searches with conditions (AND, OR, NOT, BETWEEN, STARTS WITH, ENDS WITH...) and more dbfields because creating such a conditions with remote will drives you mad no matter how I can guide you through that .

For NFO support in share view :
can you change, when pressing F3, the "MOVIE INFORMATION" read everything that is contained in the NFO, and only if pressing F3 in the "INFORMATION", he adds in the database?
(only if an NFO file is present)

PS: i try for this night addon my opinion for the last exe.

Unfortunately no, that screen is linked to videodatabase and is not based on file.

In share if you press F3 and movie is not in the db, MP will first try if there is nfo and will read movie info from there and put movie into db wiht information from nfo file, if nfo not exists it will use scrapper and
that screen shows up (movie must be in the database for that)

GUI:
NFO support:
- The information is well displayed in List View and Coverflow views (with F3 directly in the poster)
Can add the information to other views (Icons, Big Icons, Filmstrip)? see modified screenshot.
-add an icon NFO, when is Nfo reading ?
- Displaying the "NFO" not slow "MEPO", only the posters!
there's there a way to have two posters in the same folder (for the same file) but with a different size?
"MEPO" uses movie.tbn (. Jpg), it can take movie {s}. Tbn (. Jpg). and create it if it does not exists!

- Every movie in Own folder:
the record does not display the poster if it has the extension. tbn
it only needs to read the NFO on the folder!

when you go into a folder, you can put the first file in the list selection, instead of the arrow "return"?

Video OSD:
you can add reading the informations of Nfo?

Import in database:
the fanart are added only if they are listed in the NFO

configuration:
add an option "use the format NFO" for those who do not like!

I think I have forgotten things, but it is already good for Tomorrow's.
