MY Videos rework for MP 1.3.0 (5 Viewers)

Hi, appologies if i missed something but are there plans to include TV Series into my videos along with the movie improvments?

Unfortunately no, they need to be handled completely different and that's not possible in MyVids.

HaHa , i play a little , and got with use of shear view , and manuley edit MP nfo to get TV show view .(poster,fanart,some show info).
But only for 1 file (episode) ... but maybe can do somthing with the use of nfo ?

Hi ysmp,

May I ask what your thoughts are regarding background overlay? I notice that in "common.videos.fanart.xml" the overlay section has been commented out (and was referencing "black.png" rather than "background.jpg (for example)).

Also the background image control in "myvideos.xml" references "background.png" (which doesn't exist) rather than "background.jpg".

I actually quite like the results but was wondering if it's intended.

well catavolt and me was tasting a few option for overlay ,until get to last one, witch we like .... but you correct no need the black.png and overlay in 2 place (xml)...well in one place is mark out so is o.k .... but better to keep xml code clean as possibly ... Will let catavolt know ...
The main thing for us ,that you and mp users like the new Default's skin's .

While I do like the results, I have currently enabled "background.jpg" overlay using the existing diffuse values in the xml. If I don't, videos with no fanart only have a black background and while I don't mind this at all, it does rather spoil the "roof.png" effect .

Not having a background overlay also makes the "DialogVideoInfo.xml" look a little "empty" if there's no fanart.

Just my opinion of course. As always, thanks for listening.

One other small thing. There doesn't appear to be a "lock/ padlock" indicator on any of the views. Might be worth considering for those of us that use folder pin control.

hi Mick , first i must ask , do you use a mod or did you edit any of the defualt xml file's ?
As i don't have any problem her :
01 - no fanart - show main bg .
02 - lock pin -view o.k her (the pin lock only view in myvideoTitle.xml .

Just installed the latest version from first page on a new PC and everything is as you say (background and padlock).

Not sure what happened to my HTPC in that case . I'm not running any mods and the latest build was freshly installed last Sunday and yet there are clearly differences such as in myVideos.xml.

Today's install contains

<control>
<description>BG</description>
<type>image</type>
<id>1</id>
<texture>background.jpg</texture>
<width>1280</width>
<height>720</height>
</control>

yet at home the same control is

<control>
<description>BG</description>
<type>image</type>
<id>1</id>
<texture>background.png</texture>
<width>1280</width>
<height>720</height>
</control>



I'm sure I haven't messed about with the skin on the HTPC but I guess it must be something I've done. Will try to figure it out.
