For those who are still getting the file missing message...

I removed quicktime alternative and installed the latest quicktime. After that it worked fine. I still get a black background, but I can list trailers and watch them. Some of them are not working...

I don't know if this is still being worked on or somebody can help me out.

When i play a trailer the whole way through and then select another trailer it just replays the first trailer again.
Also i tried playing an HD trailer and i was just left with a white screen - i noticed this happens when playing a normal trailer so am i just not leaving it enough time to download/buffer the trailer?

Great idea to do this, i do like the my trailers plug-in but .mov files are a leap ahead of .mpegs IMO

Also i'm using the alpha of Personal TV Guide and there seems to be a compatibility problem when you select HDTrailers under my plugins - it takes you to the personal tv guide screen. I had to remove the personal tv guide dll to try out this plugin.

Well this is a bit off-topic, but i was browsing the web, when i came across this: Apple HD Trailers

This is a stand-alone application wich lets you download All the Apple HD Trailers to a directory with posters. You can even schedule the downloads.

Pretty nice and i am sure this will please a lot of you

Yeah i noticed it but tbh, i don't really want to d/l tons of trailers as HD trailers can be large and my ISP has a download limit

The HD trailer downloader is awesome, it would be nice to integrate it into MP better.

In my mind the next step should be to integrate this plugin with the My Trailers plugin (author: Zipperzip) and just have one plugin and name it Movie Trailers (yes get rid of the "my" in the plugin name) any maybe allow it to stream (or maybe also allow playing of video trailers that have been previously dowloaded on your HardDisk) and then also maybe allow additional searching. A request from Johan was: "For example in the menu where you can find IMDB info and so on for the movie you should have a "View trailer" option, where the trailer plugin starts a search for the movie title." He posted this in this thread: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?p=97389#97389 The following would provide some additional integration - it would be slick!

Using myHDTrailers code?

I'd like to reuse the code in the myHDTrailers and use it in my plugin I just released yesterday. What I haven't been able to do is get streams working. My plugin finds your local movie showtimes and displays all the information abut the movie including what theater and times it's playing and will also download the trailer and if you have quicktime or quicktime alternative installed, it will play within the MP default player.

The problem with this is that downloads can take time and streaming would be a good option to have. I've taken a look at the QT7 COM object and the code to use it in C# but it looks like all of the work was already done in this plugin. So if DarkMedusa is ok with it, I'd like to see if I can reuse that code.
