On my 0.2.3 RC3 I've the old my Programm and can't launch project 64.

So I'm using 2.3.0 + svn
and I was wondering about the following issue:

added a child - application launcher - firefox or deepburner for example.
When MP is in Window mode, it's no problem to launch firefox, etc.

When MP is in Fullscreen Application launches, but Mediaportal somehow overlays
Most of the time system hang up then. if not MP is on Top, when closed app shows up.

I have "always on Top" unchecked, no mouse hiding option.

Yeah, I was about to ask almost the same thing. Is it possible to launch a fullscreen application when MediaPortal is in fullscreen already?

If not, is this something that would be possible to add (i.e that it would somehow release the DirectX fullscreen mode until the started app has exited)?

Configuration of Preexecute it and Postexexute could be a solution for the fullscreen problem.

preexecute: minimize MP
postexecute: fullscreen MP

Anybody an idea how to write those commands?

The problem you are seeing is already well known. It is talked about in the folowing threads -

[DEV NEEDED] DirectDraw problem ? unable to run external application after using MyTV

"fullscreen" in combination with "not always on top" not working anymore

- as well as many others. Pre-execute should work (if a bit inelegant) but I haven't given it a try yet. Unfortunately the problem also affects Multishortcut and it has no pre-execute. By the way nothing really 'hangs', you just need to Alt-F4 the application you can't see to get the focus back to MediaPortal.

here is a new test release, not much improvements, i just had the feeling that i want do somthings on this plugin and decided to tune the root feature a bit. It should work better now.

The new sources are not in svn yet, because i have connection problems atm. :sorry:

your work is super.

but, please rebuild the plugin to use thumbimage from the folder where the file is.(like movies and music)

i´d like to select my own path to use images for some files.
i use three client pc´s and one nat-hdd at my network. all systems use the files and there images at the nat.
