can't you tie this in with the notifications? Have the user set if he/she wishes updates no matter what view is active?

On a side note, will you support the rss downloader function of utorrent when (if ever) this is available from the Webui?
And haven't had time yet to check 0.4 version.

edit: let me correct that- haven't had time to check the 0.45 version :)

Most likely uTorrent RSS feature will not be supported. Is there a some feature which you see as an important and which could be done from the plugin too? I am not familiar with uTorrent RSS feature.

utorrent API does not support the RSS feature of uTorrent itself. Discussion about it (use it with webui) is present but no clear goal is there.
If it's not there, you can't use it :)
I'm not using the watch functionality of the MyTorrent plugin. since I've set this up using uTorrent's RSS downloader.

As for functionality, I'm happy with the present offered functionality.

Is it possible to use the "playerhasmedia" or whatever that condition is called for when to show watchdog notification? When the media is finished, the message will appear.

Looking good so far! I would suggest though that the first post in this thread be updated a bit so people don't have to rummage through 7+ pages to get an idea of the progress.

Deleted my MyTorrents.db3 and installed 0.45. Still get the "missing or incorrect file" error. Perhaps it's something to do with the fact that I'm running the latest MediaPortal SVN (09.03.22)?

Possibly, unfortunately I haven't had time to update my MP.
If you open MyTorrents.xml (configuration file) in Internet Explorer, does it parse it correctly?

Next version of MyTorrents will have better logging system, so it will be much easier to check
what went wrong during initialization of MyTorrents.

I think I'm on to something here. I've had my an RSS feed entered into uTorrent with a hasch string. I deleted that feed from uTorrent and added it into the MyTorrent settings (MyTorrents.xml) and now it won't parse correctly in IE. I get a "semicolon expected" error. Now I replaced & with "&" and it parses correctly. However, it still gives me the same error in MediaPortal. :(

Puzzle of a day: Should MyTorrents have "passive" watchdog?
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By passive watchdog I mean a feature which is similar as current watchlist is, but it is
passive, which means that if it finds a match, downloading is not started automatically.
Downloading of a match requires user interfaction.

First version of MyTorrents had this kind of a feature, but I removed once MyTorrents started
to use RSS feeds. Biggest problem was; When to interact with user?
First version of MyTorrents asked user immediately when it found a match. So dialog could
appear on screen when you are watching a TV. Which is not so nice.

So the question is, should there be a possibility for passive watchlist?
And if answer is yes, then question is, how it should work?

    Thanks,
    - Sohvaperuna

Log everything and download torrents.. Then use GUI button or context menu item user has to click to list those "missed" torrents..
