Pretoriano, it looks as if you either do not have the VLC external player enabled for http streams or you have Video Mixing Renderer 9 (VMR9) disabled under your DirectShow Filter Control->Video Renderer Settings.

@roopert:if you are getting only a black screen it must be easy to get movie trailers to work because i can reproduce this thing on my XP system and i agreed with armandp,you only have to change the merit of nero spplitter(try only to lower the nero spitter merit first without touching other filters merit because if you mess to much with this merits thing you can endup much worse if something go wrong)and then try to play a trailer in MP,and if it's not working will try another step.BTW i'm using Filmerit to change merits:Download homepage of Paul Glagla

roopert:i'm glad you sort things out

LRFalk01:let's say you were half right about the VMR9,because i'm using EVR instead. But for everyone else using this plugin make sure that "use for playback of web streams" is checked in VMR9 even if you are using EVR.So far i have found 2 minor issues:

1)everytime you start My Trailers when you click the trailer button it will do nothing so you need to go back one step and then go back and click the trailer button again so it will start playing.After that the trailers will always play on you first click ,but if you exit my trailers or MP the next time you go in my trailers this issue is always there(atleast for me)

2)when the playback finish the plugin is not going back to the menu(you get only a black screen)and you have to click "back" on you remote for going back to the trailer menu.

Yeah, I am also aware of those two issues although I currently have no idea what is causing them.

2) Not having this problem. When the playback finishes, I get for a half second my desktop followed by the previous menu.
3) A logo in the plugins screen would be nice

the_ult: for Aeon wide mytrailers.xml: there are some layout problems with large movie titles. When selecting such a movie, the kind of trailer isn't displayed very well because there isn't space.

What was that? If you are talking about your project with making an expendable MyTrailers, I am perfectly fine with that. I should be able to make a Yahoo trailers provider for it. One comment on that though: you should make it so the Provider object handles the playing as how I play my yahoo trailers differs from how you are playing yours. Basically the Provider should do everything save for the GUI things.

Ok i want to start off with another version number (2.0.0.0) (instead of renaming the plugin). So we have the 1.x patched/fixed version you provide and "my" new modular design starting from 2.x. in which we finally fuse the two together.

I will look into the different playing methods - i personally think this should still be handled by the plugin core part (maybe switch different playing methods by looking at the provided link) What method for playing are you using? (Play and Playstream are the same)

Ohh, well if Play and Playstream are the same, I am fine. I thought when I changed PlayVideoStream to just Play, it started working for me with the VLC player.

Ok, after much experimenting I have found the following:

With klite codec pack installed with default settings, streaming of .mov files will not work. However, if when installing klite codec pack you uncheck the .mov splitter (Gabest), .mp4 splitter and anything referencing Haali and then install the stand alone Haali media splitter this works fine for .mov streaming (graphedit and MP). However, I can then no longer play local .mov files :0(

If I install the .mov splitter in klite codec pack then this allows me to play local .mov files but stops the .mov streaming functionality.

Anyone got any ideas how you enable local .mov playback without the .mov splitter?

I have QT alternative installed.
