I fairly new to all this. I've just downloaded mytvguide.xml, but don't know how to use it. Can anyone help.

I think the DLs explains it... but; copy the .xml file to the skin you use. Thats all.

Thanks. So I find the skin folder, and put it in there?
yes... for instance: ...\mediaportal\skins\blue2\ (here)

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC.
TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.
