Would be a great feature, as there are lots of tv shows that use series names instead of numbers.

Because if you are talking about Anime, then you really should be using the MyAnime plugin for those.

No it is not Anime!!!! Why is it the minute anyone asks for this feature they are told to use MyAnime?
One obvious example: Power Rangers - 18 series and all have different titles (add in the original Kamen Rider, Super Sentai or any other series like this where it is more common to change the title each year than have a series number).
Blackadder is another progam that had different titles for each series.
QI uses letters instead of numbers.
There are alot of programs that would benefit from the seasons being listed as a year and not 1, 2, 3 etc.
I would also like to label the Dr Who series so the kids can easily tell which Dr a series belongs to.
I'm sure there are plenty more examples.
Just needs the option for a custom alias for each series in the database.
