I wasn't really motivated with testing BluRays yesterday and today, so i only tested the 8 Stanley Kubrick Discs today.
All are bd-j free, except one, but i think that's only used for bd-live, since everything else (including the menu) is working fine.

Updated my google docs here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XgAUAfGKV_xRK5b835QXb9Hp4qb-EqlOKV6vDw2bmNg/edit

Still, there were some error i found:
A Clockwork Orange & Barry Lyndon: When playing the extras (trailers) and then opening the popup menu, the menu is placed in the upper left and too small.
I guess is due to the SD resolution of the extras.

Haven't tested Lolita & 2001 for the same error, but all the other Kubrick Discs.

"The Stanley Kubrick - A life in Pictures" BluRay always crashes in Title Mode (!!!) when selecting title #2 and jumping chapters.
Tried that several times. The runtime displayed for title #1 & #2 is the same, thoug it is about 30 minutes longer than the actual documentary.

the logs can be found here: Index of /mediaportal/BD_test_logs

i tried to login to the wiki to add my tests, not working.
And i can't find any documentary how to login with my account or how to enable that.

Can you check if high's solution in this post works for you? You shouldn't need any docs to login, you just use the same username/password as the website/forum, nothing to enable. A few users have experienced issues lately because we changed the authentication process. If high's solution doesn't work for you, then send him a PM to check it.

I see that this is an MP installer by itself. If I installed it on top of MP 1.2.2 would it break everything? I'd like to try it but I want to keep my settings, etc.

Also, will this be incorporated into the main MP release branch at some point? Maybe with 1.3?

Since a new install of MP would break the original one I've written a script that toggles between two versions. See post #194. You have to save your original folders by renaming them. Install MP-BR-Version. Change the scripts to your folder-names.

    Thanks, that worked.
Will update the wiki today or tomorrow.

and "hellboy us" had missing button effects, so it was hard to select languages/subtitles.

Could you take a screen shot of the failing case? Here I cannot spot any issues with the menus (I'm working on with the v3 version, but it shouldn't have any changes on that area.)

    1. 00020.m2ts Walt Disney Studios
    Works fine in MP

    2. 00002.mt2s Language selection
    Works fine in MP

    3. Stay tuned for... - Different file depending on which language is selected:
    00052.mt2s English
    00053.mt2s
    00054.mt2s
    00090.mt2s
    00091.mt2s
    00092.mt2s
    00093.mt2s
    00094.mt2s Icelandic
This is where MP fails. It won't load any of those files but instead returns to the MP GUI.

Probably a libbluray error. Need to test with Xine.

Is there no registry or database conflict?

I had a wipe of the whole MP installation including the registry settings, etc before install

    Cheers,

Currently no (v2), but it is possible that in future there could be. All Area 51 test branches are free to add / remove / change / create conflicting setting / database changes.

    BD-J No
Menu Yes, but menu is only displayed. After pressing a button it returns back to MediaPortal.
    Title Yes

What a good test material this BD is/was. No comment on the movie itself (IMDB rating 5.6). I did find three separate issues from the current code.

    1) Slow startup (caused by a broken mastering / clip info on the BD itself!)
    2) Graph building failure (caused by a broken mastering / clip info on the BD itself!)
    3) Failure to play the movie - seems to be libbluray issue, at least it gives read errors

I admit the movie was not overwhelming but I could not resist at the price (8,99 €) :D At least the film is good for troubleshooting.
