Good morning, I do last test for bluray this weekend with new bluray driver and I post the results. The new driver has more buffer 4 mb, the old driver only has 2 mb. The test is the last Harry Potter's movie.

With "Use internal Blu-ray menu player" checked and BDHandler disabled:

The new driver I have freeze in movie too, but little time (1-2 seconds). I test with other bluray driver (a friend let me his), 2 mb buffer and I have the initial freeze problem but one particularity (the movie freeze, the bluray drive start rotate with high speed, the movie go to jumps, I think that it's reading disc and after, the driver speed decreases and the movie continuous normaly).

With "Use internal Blu-ray menu player" unchecked and BDHandler enabled (LAVSplitter):

The result in this case is ok (With all bluray drivers). I have few repeat or drop frames, but if I use the next combination (A/V Sync enabled in LAV Audio and MPAR how Audio Render with Enable v-sync adjustment on), I can view all movie without repeat or drop frames.

Only one think, with BDHandler, sometimes MP can't read the disc (show message that say error in read or the disc is protected). I open and close the driver, load disc again and work perfect.

Thanks for your support.

    Good morning to ;)

The above part is interesting! It seems you have sync enabled in both MPAR (Timestretch option) & LAV (Auto A/V Sync correction), which might conflict.
IF you use MPAR, you should disable all passthrough options in LAVAudio. My settings (MPAR Resampling rate depends on CPU power so maybe you need to lower that):

    MPARSettings.PNG LAVAudioSettings.PNG

Only one think, with BDHandler, sometimes MP can't read the disc (show message that say error in read or the disc is protected). I open and close the driver, load disc again and work perfect.
That's another interesting observation! You need an decrypter for commercial discs, and the above message indicates issues with that also, which will results in dropped frames for sure. Are you user AnyDVD HD is working fine for you? DVDFab Passkey Lite should also be able to do the job.

I have a long night :), if I only enable in MPAR v-sync adjustment and disable A/V Sync in LAV Audio I have lag between audio and video, an actor start talk and one second after start the audio, but if I enable v-sync adjustment and A/V Sync, I haven't got the problem.

I see some diferences in configuration, in MPAR I have stereo because I use HDMI, I use SRC_LINEAR and I uncheck use exclusive mode (because I check I haven't got sound).

In LAV I checked mixer for stereo, A/V sync, Expand mono to stereo and convert output to standar.

    --- EDIT ---

AnyDVD HD work correctly, I buy a license and I install the last update for the test. The problem only occurs one time and I test six or seven times.

OK, but it can lead to conflicts, just so you know.

It sounds like you keep narrowing down your issue to your BD Drive, right?

It wasn't much more then a short conclusion that your BD drive seems to cause the problems.

I understand, I don't know, I test with three different BD Drivers and I have the same problem (more or less) with the three drivers, but with lab splitter I haven't the freeze problem. I don't know if bdreader use a internal read buffer but it can problems with old bd drivers with small buffer.

Sorry, only one more question, what configuration or system modification I can test for avoid enable v-sync in MPAR and LAV Audio the same time?

I think i was a bit unclear in my previous post, so i edited that. But i'll explain here ;)

v-sync is a picture quality settings (to prevent tearing and stuff), it's best to leave that on.

The 2 settings that can conflict and shouldn't be used together are:
    • MPAR timestretch option
    • LAVAudio Auto A/V Sync correction

Since MPAR is speeding up/down the stream to match the refresh rate of the monitor, LAV will try to catch up all the time. When using MPAR, the 'Auto A/V Sync correction' in LAV should be disabled.
Disabling the timestretch option in MPAR, disables the function what MPAR is about (match Video FPS with display refreshrate by speeding up/down playback).
