Does anyone know how or if you can get the nero mp4 files with the embedded chapters to work with mediaportal...any help on this would be greatly appreciated

Hi, I have the same problem. Made the decision to convert my DVD's into Nero MP4 using Recode so as to fit them on my PC and hook it up the the TV. Unfortunately MediaPortal seems unable to play them! Is this a known issue, and does anybody know how to solve it? Other than having all my videos use NeroShowTime to play :wink:

working on my system configed thru ffdshow but used a later version than recommeded by MP then on MP config added MP4 in video files types and bingo :lol: away it went not to sure about chapters though havent tried that yet .
Sound is through SPIF digital out and working but not surround sound .

That's superb - all up and runnig know. Thanks for the tip! I had tried installing FFDSHOW but I think it was an older version.

great to hear working the NERO code is good quality and plays on my HTPC quite nicley .going to try Divx and Xvid to compare
