New DVB subtitle filter (TsReader based) (2 Viewers)

Tried the latest build, amazing stuff! Love the enlarged size and that you can enable it in configuration.exe.

Just one question.

I want teletext subtitles for all channels except the SVT channels(who broadcasts in my native language), everything on SVT that isn't in swedish have old school burnt in subtitles so the filter is pretty much useless here.

My STBs(have a few... Nokia, Samsung etc) seem to be very intelligent. For Canal+ it automatically enables the subtitles but not for SVT, just they way I want it.

Is it possible to implement this behaviour? Do you know how the STB handles this?

(Yeah, I know I can turn off the subtitles manually)

this is a difficult one to pinpoint as the bug occurs very randomly.

What exactly do you mean useless? Do you get burned-in subtitles + teletext subs when this happens?

Turns out that i forgot to release the bitmap memory when the subtitle queue gets too big, this might have caused MP to run out of memory. This is fixed in (mp client) SVN 17200+.

As to why the queue is increasing, i dont think this is subtitle related. From the logs i can see that the stream position is reported as '0' while new subtitles are being added, so possibly there was an error somewhere else (like the CI crashing or similar).

Sorry, maybe wrong thread, but I know that Finnish people are reading this thread;

Last night YLE renewed their broadcasting system and after that all YLE channels will crash MediaPortal. Any commercial channel is still working ok and can be zapped without problems.
Any YLE channel hang Mediaportal. happens to me on test and production environment.

This might be correct thred to panic since it does not seem to crash if I disable all DVB subtitle otions on Mediaportal. This way I can freely zap to YLE channels too. Logs attached.

TS dump of timeshift file will be provided if needed.

Just when things get stable they move the fakkin goalposts.

Just want to confirm the crashes too, if I disable subs the channel displays fine but no subs. I guess they aren't burning them in at least.

For F****s sake, I feel for the MP team I really do.

Nothing much, something has just changed :/

YLE is broadcasting YLE TV1 with burned subtitles (and was broadcasting long before last night) on TV1+ in same transponder.

I confirm this happening. Tested all the settings, dvb-subtitles not working anymore. Teletexts work though, but they're not good alternative, lots of timing problems...

And I was too very happy camper until this afternoon and that freakin broadcasting delivery system change...

Ah, so it's not only me then. This doesn't only apply to YLE channels tho, I have the same problems with all the other channels from my provider (C+ etc.). The only thing I can do is disable the subs and it works. NOTE: when I open the MP configuration, both of the "Available Languages" (under Preferred Subtitles and Preferred Audio) listboxes are empty (which they weren't before). I noticed these odd behaviors after upgrading from SVN v.17088

yep, seems that Yle has done something that will cause MP to crash... most likely subtitles related indeed.
