Yeah that's what I was thinking.

I don't need subtitles all the time, just the option to use them when my other-half starts yakking to her mother on the phone!:D

I was just wondering if ziphnor had had a chance to have a look at this

Actually, any SVN after the one mentioned above should only display subtitles by default *if* you have chosen default languages in MP setup under TV Client->Subtitles ( if i remember the change i made correctly :).

That is, it now assumes that if you have a preferred language that you want to see subs in that language. If you don't set a preferred/default language then you don't get subtitles until you switch to them.

    Timestamp lost when jumped

Anyone else having problem with subtitles losing time stamp after jumping back on timeshifted program?
My installation has done this for awhile now, maybe last 5 tested builds, can't tell exact build though when this behavior started.

Jumping works ok when I turn on TV and first subtitled program starts. When program is end and there might be another program without subtitles running on same channel and when next subtitled program starts, subtitles are lost if I jump back any times. There will be messages: "29-02-2008 22:30:42 Too old timestamp! - diff was 16168677 ms" and diff keeps counting.

Sometimes it is possible to see subtitles without stopping program after losing time stamp by seeking start of prgram running, but does not happen allways. After finding time stamp again, it is still not possible to jump on time shift.

Anyone else having this behaviour? Or should I suspect some flaw in my settings/system?
I do have Dutch (hearing aid selection when available) as my primary subtitle language and fin as second.

Have not tested this on recorded file.

I fixed one timestamp related bug. Let's hope that it's the same as you are seeing. Please test with SVN > 17648.

    Out of sync

Hi. Sorry to say, but after the latest fix the subtittles are totally out of sync (YLE1 and 2). This happens quite soon after changing to channel, it takes only 5 - 30 seconsds to see that.

I can confirm this by starting TV on subtitled channel and watch about 1 minute. Jump back 15 seconds and subtitles are no longer shown at time or now show at all. Also some quick flashes about subtitles are shown.

Yep, noticed that out of sync issue. Really nasty to fix as it's happening only on live streams and when I usualy happen to have free time there isn't any subtitling running on the tv channels.
