It's not the batteries for me. I've tried the original remote, my Harmony remote, both with recharged batteries, & the ir codes Aaron posted. I still have to try the delete 'mceir' files trick elcoejito posted about on the previous page.
What I did notice is that it won't learn the codes if the remote is too close to the ir receiver. If I move the remote a couple of feet away, it learns the codes immediately.

I've updated to a new test version (05-Feb-2007).

I've fixed the event mapper and I've recompiled the MceIr.dll as well.

I can feel a release to the download section of the website coming soon. So if you've got any last requests, let me know now.

    Cheers,

Hi Aaron. Just wanted to say thanks for the great support. I haven't got mine working yet (but I haven't really been trying too hard), but I'm impressed with how you've stayed on top of things. It must take up a lot of your time.

I'll second that one...my HTPC would not be anything without your plug-in

Tried the myBlaster and the same thing with the Explorer 2100 but works with the Explorere 8300. My Explorer 2100 doesn't like my Microsoft Reciver (v1.04 shows up as eHome Infered Reciver) for some reason. Others maybe having the same problem.

Here is the link to the myBlaster plug-in
    myBlaster plugin
or download the attached Blaster.exe in the zip

You can get the blaster.exe from there to confirm problems with your reciver.

    @elconejito
What version of the reciver do you have (it should be on the bottom of the reciver)?

To anyone else who uses a Scientific Atlanta STB, please share your box type and Microsoft reciver type.

    I'll start here
STB: SA Explorer 2100 Rev 2.8 (Dosen't work with my reciver)
STB: SA Explorer 8300 Rev 2.5 (Works with my reciver)
    Reciver: Microsoft Reciver 1.0A Model:1040

Might be better to start a new thread but I'll want to see what and-81 says first.
I'll post this in the other thread, but wanted to respond here too.

STB: SA Explorer 3250 Rev 1.0 (Manufacture date 7/21/2003!!!)
Receiver: Microsoft MCE 1.0A Model 1040

Over the weekend, I could not get the plugin to work, I had the same MCEIR.DLL error message that some others have had. I had to give it up and go back to 0.2.2 for the time being. I'll probably try again at some point this week with SVN and the newer Test Version.

And just to echo the others, great plugin :D

Sorry CRasch, I've done very little on USB-UIRT support.

I have looked at the API and I think I should be able to integrate it pretty easily, and I've downloaded some bits and pieces, but I haven't started coding the USB-UIRT support yet.

    What have I been doing?

I've been reading a lot of information on 64-bit support. Reading about Vista. And I've been using FxCop and the information I've read to try to improve portability of the p/invoke functions in the plugin.

Hopefully this will get me a step closer to 64-bit Vista support, but should also help with compatibility in general. Of course it has the potential to cause a lot of havoc, but after the bugs have been ironed out I'm sure it will all be worth it.

There's a possibility that the plugin will work on 64-bit Windows XP and maybe Vista once these changes are in.

I'll post back when I'm done.

    Cheers,

It's the very next thing on my list of things to do and I'll probably start coding for it tomorrow.

It shouldn't be hard at all. Expect to hear back from me soon.

    Cheers,
