    Hey,
When using the IR Server Suite you need to use the TV2 Blaster or TV3 Blaster plugin depending on your setup. For normal MediaPortal use the TV2 Blaster plugin, for the standalone tv engine (TV3) use the TV3 Blaster plugin.

The TV blaster plugins take the tv control that was in MCE Replacement plugin and break it out into separate plugins which makes the ir server suite able to operate with either tv engine.

    Hope that helps,

    Hi Aaron,

I've tried to upgrade to the latest version of MRP, i.e. Oct 28, but I have some issues. Previously I have use the version from June.

When I learn and test an IR command in MP Config it works fine. Then I build a macro which also works fine. I map the macro to a coloured key on my MCE remote.

I start MP and try my commands, bad luck... It will blast something but not anything recognized by the receiver. I've also created a key macro, %{F4}, to close open apps. THis macro also fails and makes MRP inresponsive. It won't work until I restart MP.

    Any ideas?

I've tried IR Suite but had some issues with that as well. Can it be the MCE Replacement Driver?

    /Peter

A new version is now available in the first post of this thread.

If this version proves to be bug-free I'll post it to the download section of the website.

    Cheers,

    petsa:
Please try the new version and let me know if it's any better.

    Thanks,

If you're using the TV Server for MediaPortal then you can't use MCE Replacement Plugin and should use IR Server Suite.

    Hello,

I'm having a speed issue with the latest MCE RP.
When using the arrow commands in MP, it allways skips one entry, as if I pressed the button twice.
On the Windows Desktop, this is not the case.
I first thought it had something to do with my Logitech Harmony remote, but after testing with the original MCE remote, it is the same.
It looks like the commands are beeing send too fast.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Sis

It's due to the plugin handling buttons that the operating system is also handling. There are two ways to prevent this, either remove the "replacement driver" mappings (there's a button for this in the mapping dialog) or make the ehome driver behave like the replacement driver by removing a few registry keys as described in my post about the replacement driver being obsolete (linked in my signature).

Good luck, and let me know if you have any further issues.

    Cheers,

    That did the trick.

BTW: Very nice piece of software!

    Best Regards
