Hi,
i just installed the new mepo skin. when i go to the tv guide, i see this "xbox mediacenter cvs build" text overlaying the top of my epg. anyone know how i can get rid of it?
thanks!
yep, I get this too sometimes. It does also vanish for me after a few navigations or if I exit and re-enter.
The fact that it isn't consistant would indicate that it is to do with the code and not the skin.
hum, well i have never noticed it prior to switching to this new skin. i did use the "modified" tvguide.xml previously, you know the one that has only 6 channels at a time. anyway, i currently am using 2.0.something, would 2.1 fix it?
I use Mepo Black on the main downstairs PC and Blue Two standard on the upstairs testing one. Both are on relatively new SVNs. Strngely, I haven't seen the fault on the downstairs Mepo PC but get this on the upstairs one.
Both of those run software newer than the 2.1 patch so not sure if that would help but I guess it dosn't hurt to try.
I guess it's something to do with the new animations that came from X-Box but again, it's only a guess...
This happens when the client starts up before the tv server does. It happens to me when I first start up the computer, because MP is supposed to launch on startup, and it happens to do it faster than the tv server. If you close MP and reopen it, it should appear fine.
humm, interesting thought, though i dont think it is true. i have turned off the media center many times and it still is there. i think that it is in the skin, or the tvguide.xml. when i use MCE skin, i dont see the overlay, however that particular skin is using the reduced epg. when i use mepo, i still see the overlay.
I made some updates to the Wiki page describing the <import> and <include> tags, including adding a couple of new xml examples. For the first example, I highlighted the example text and eventually found the location in the menus where I could select the CODE macro to have the example text formatted as a code example. So far, so good...

Well, I had already recognized your problem, but I still wanted to point out the basic connections once again. Unfortunately, I don't have a fundamentally different solution for you, but with this approach you should achieve your goal. ;)
The idea of first setting the current genre colors with the defines is certainly a good one, as...

Good afternoon,
Does anyone know a way of referencing the genre colour of the currently selected item in the TV Guide. We are all...

It seems our Zap2XML/GraceNote access is broken again. I (as many others) have been using the latest NewZap2xml_6 and it has worked flawlessly. A few days ago it all died. I wonder if anyone is working a solution to save the masses. I am hoping the good citizen of past is...
