how do i show that from remote?
what to press??

like when i have to respall series that tv series cant find for some reason like, missing - - - or spaces in numbers.
i need the on screen keyboard..

how do i show it?

If the show is not found then a window will pop up and you can choose "Enter Manual Search" and then the keyboard will come up

The on-screen keyboard (also called virtual keyboard) is called by the appropiate plugin if needed. If that is not foreseen in the plugin, you can´t invoke it

The SMS Virtual Keyboard has been removed, therefore smsKeyboard.xml is no longer used.
Purpose

The MediaPortal keyboard has not previously been able to be modified (skinned).

We now introduce a skin-able keyboard implementation. The implementation is backward compatible in look and behavior however your skin is required to include two new skin xml files named stdKeyboard.xml and smsKeyboard.xml. If these skin files are not included in your skin the keyboard will not appear and no user indication of a problem will be presented. Default files (legacy keyboard look/feel) are available for your skin; simply copy them to your skin directory and your done (unless you would like to customize the defaults). You can find these files in the Blue3 and Blue3Wide skins distributed with MediaPortal.

im on version 112 right now i think.
but the keyboard i have not seen for years now.. in any of the versions i have used.

So is there some dissable/enable thing somewhere so i can enable it.
Also i have friend he tell me that he see no keyboard also??

I was just over at his house, no keyboard also he is on 110, and he tel me he also have not seen a keyboard for a long time.
and when he use his computer keyboard, the letters numbers on the keyboard write letters, both on num pad and above keys, so its a pain in the xxx to edit tv series names for finding a match :/

its even saying in the corner top: SMS Virtual Keyboard.
and i have input ______series name____________
i can type something on my computer normal keyboard.. but there is not keyboard on the screen to type whit the remote or mouse

I ask for help, can some one tel me why i don't, and have not seen this, in years?
Also i don't see it on my friends computer running 1.1.0.. and he tells me he has also not seen this keyboard, ever! (

Just as as note, i also never ever see a keyboard, anywhere else in MP!! not in any plugin, or any part of the MP software..

What skin are you using? Ah, saw it from your specs - StreamedMP. There the appropiate skin xmls should be in. Maybe a screenshot helps?

is the keyboard used any other place then TV series?
i want to test if it works other places, so i can narrow down if its tv series or MP base code i have problem whit..

Also is there a button to bring it up? like force the keybord to pupup??
