... continuing from the other thread, regarding the remote problems:
yes, it should fix the problem as well.
could you post your mediaportal.log please? maybe i see something
which remote are you using?
After some further testing I could isolate the problem somewhat. It appears to depend also on whether a visualization is enabled or not:
If no visualization is enabled there is a problem if, and only if, the Play button is pressed on the remote before music is played any other way. After music has been played at least once, either by navigating to the music section or by using the playlist shortcut of the One Button Music plug-in (i.e. pressing "1" on the remote, which works perfectly fine), everything works as expected thereafter. It also only occurs if the Play button on the remote is used; pressing "p" on the keyboard works as expected and thereafter also the remote Play button works as expected without problem. I can, however, reliably reproduce the problem by pressing Play on the remote immediately after starting MP. In this case, the music starts to play but no remote buttons work anymore except the navigation buttons (left, right, up, down and enter). Furthermore, no small cover and song information is displayed in the lower left corner of the screen. I attach the log for this case ("Immediate Play without visualization.log") which, however, doesn't show anything unusual.
If visualization is enabled, the result is similar insofar as the problem does not occur if the keyboard is used (both "p" and "1" work fine) and neither if the remote "1" is pressed. However, remote Play does not work as expected under any circumstances. If music has been played before, pressing remote Play will start the music but the remote will stop working; the lower left corner shows the visualisation but no song information; nothing unusual in the log (attached as "Play after music.log"). If, however, no music has been played before, pressing remote Play will NOT start the music and the remote will stop working and this is the only case where there actually is an error message in the log (attached as "Immediate play with visualization.log", one for the WMP Alchemy and one for the R4 visualisation, as the error message is different).
I am using an MCE remote (actually an Harmony One, programmed as MCE remote).
The problem is that you are using the PureAudio plugin.
The fixed Core.dll contains a fix in BassAusio, which you are not using, snce you enabled PureAudio.
i notified already symphy, what needs to be done on his side, but don't know, if he did the changes. at least he didn't reply back and i haven't seen him for a while in irc now.
try to disable PureAudio and use native BASS and you'll see the problem is gone.
Please get in touch with symphy to fix the issue for you. he shoud know what is to be done.
