Yes, because the online db doesn't (yet) allow searching for non-english titles. This should either solve itself, or require a minor code change, depending on the implementation they do.

Sadly I didn't get around anything yet :-(, but the weekend looks rainy, so that sounds like a perfect opportunity

Anyways, heres my todo list currently, just so everyone knows where we are at:

short:
- enable renaming of views (bit of a dirty hack) + enable/disable
- check why banners get reset when random banner is off
- don't show new show osd when not in plugin screen (plus give meaningfull title to the pick series osd)
- reset focus to facadeview after osd selections
- forom retrievable requires english series title to work (relevant for non-english users)
- check weird bug with wrong file association (karamellz pm)
- null exception in config logos (button click but no rule selected)
- add actual file deletion (config option on/off + confirm dialog in MP)
- propertly clear GUIProperties (OSD)
- sometimes after playback descr. display is not filled in MP?
- add virtual field <Episode.FileSizeB> (bytes) + <Episode.FileSize> (pretty formatted) + <Episode.FileDate>

mid:
- extend logo engine to check for file exists (+ new episode virtual fields (dir only, filename (with/out extension) only)
- better way to read out mediaInfo (allow individual file re-read) + on failure retry n times (if file is first tried during copy/download and thus not complete)
- try concurrend database access (simply allow user to specify database location manually (on a server or unc share or something) - heavily experimental
- rework replacement strings to work before regex match (finally gets rid of problems with certain shows like reno 911 + filename strings like 720p etc.)
- language specific banners as soon as supported by onlinedb
- language specific series-serach as soon as supported by onlinedb
- allow specify how osd is filled (GUI properties)

long:
- make views fully configurable (GUI/Database storage)
- export of settings to flat file (csv?)
- everything else...

Presuming things go well I'll add a new stable build as soon as the short list is done. Then its back to svns for the medium list. The long list.....it's something for when everything else is perfect

If you got time please add <Episode.FileSize> or something like that to show how big a file is, like in the regular MediaPortal video browser, it's something I'm really missing.

That was on my list to suggest. Thats really key.

I personally get all my tv from broadcatching. ANd the more tivo oriented the plugin can be the better.

For me there aren't any problems concering the stability. I'll try to check the OSD-thingy. Only problem I encountered is that he sometimes changes my selected banner for a show.

It should never change a banner on its own, unless you have the "random banner" option turned on. I'll recheck this.

FYI, I did a complete reload of the TV Series database. After running a second scan (from within the Configuration) the banners still changed. Interestingly, those that changed, changed to a french banner ....

Sample shows that changed: CSI, CSI MIAMI, CSI NY, ER

Well, I didn't fix this yet, so no surprise it didn't change its behaviour

French banners surprise me...
I just checked.....the interfaces don't differenciate between english/non-english banners yet, so there is no way for me to prevent them if a diff. language is selected. Since french banners were all recently uploaded, I assume whats happening is that it always picks the latest banner it can find (and since it can't know that particular banner is in french) and assigns it.

This is really a bit of a problem in the future if you use random banners as any french banners it gets by now will still be there.....hmmm.

Maybe put a drop down list box there to select which language banners to download and use in the random banner option?
That is if language banners are distinguished in the database in some way

This option can even same client and server bandwidth as it will not download or upload unnecessary language banners.
