    Great work!
Signed up at myget and you can guess my username ^^
    Can't find "obo" as a username :p
    but offbyone was available ;)

I don`t want to link the MP2 (or MP1) dependencies as projects, but rather as DLLs:
    • Not every OnlineVideos dev will have either code checked out locally.
    • Linking against (at some point) released binaries ensures that the plugin builds again latest stable release.
We also could upload the MP2 core binaries as separated nuget packages so external plugins can easily integrate them into their source code without committing them actually to the repository.
Similar like MPExtended is doing it: https://github.com//MPExtended/commit/c0b6d27f8cfefde33692a5ca55ea698329438b46

Yeah we are already talking about our plugin distribution model here :) If everything is a plugin - even core ones, we no longer need the old fashioned "mjor release of application model". Instead everything is updateable in place. MP2 installer will be small only install the core applications and then download or update the required plugins.

partly: Because the parts of the core are already required by MP2 installer to attach server and client, and the currently nuget is used during pre-build.

But yes, that's why I started the other thread about extension management and think nuget is great for managing extensions also on the end user installation. Nevertheless to have it perfectly integrated it requires some MediaPortal specific customizations.

The feature to set youtube account details is not possible within MP2, yet, is it? Are there many things required to have it implemented similar to the MP1 plugin or is it mainly the context menu only?

It's already implemented - in the same way as in MP1. Rightclick on the Site (YouTube) and select Settings in the Menu that opens.

Ahh... so in this case we still have a conflict in handling context menu keys vs. opening hidden menu?

Sorry, I wanted to mention that there is also a password box already (simply forgot it):
