It's a while since I last wrote in this thread. Things are going well but I will not give a release date.
We have started on the Radio activity, so now all activities that will be supported for a first version exist(Movies, Series, Music, Radio, Pictures, Recordings, EPG, Remote, Settings).
Power modes are implemented(e.g. start MP, restart computer etc.)
We are using the 0.6 dev version of MPExtended where the ffmpeg HLS streaming profiles are working extremely well for all media (apart from music that is not yet supported). Streaming of Movies, Series, Recordings and Live Tv always work for us. The MPExtended devs are doing a great job!
We are currently working on the settings activity where one should be able to set e.g. client settings, themes, default values for views(e.g. list/thumb/wall), sorting and default streaming profiles for different media and wifi/3g.
So we are closing in on something but it's very hard to say when we are done since real life always comes first. I recently sent a version to Command Fusion for them to beta test.

Wow this looks amazing. I wish it was for Android, but I'll buy an iPad just for this if it is as good as the video.

I have been using aMPdroid for a long time, but this looks better. Both design and functions.
I have a mini and it would be great to have this...
Compared to a ipad2 the mini is much faster... Surfing, email, youtube... Everything more than two times faster...
I think its perfect for a remote!
