    Well If possible…
    1) I would like a “non user specific” start queue, like “top watched this week” or “top instant views titles of all time”
    2) I would like the “new releases" to only list one instance of new releases, currently it fills the list with all the episodes of some TV shows
    3) I would like new releases in category like “new comedies” etc..

I know last time I asked it seemed specific to the Netflix API but it cant hurt to keep them on your radar…

    :D

    Hey Winterescape,
    Thanks for the feedback...

    1. NetFlix is in the final stages of the new V2 of their API. They have not released any details, but I am hoping it will include the top (n) of DVD rentals & instant views.

    2. When I redo tha app for Netflix V2 API, I will improve the instant searches to return only the Series Info, not the episodes.

    3. As with #2, I will add this ability with V2 of the API.

First of all, many thanks to WileECoyote and the other folks on this thread for all the work they've done on this excellent plugin.

Like some folks in previous posts, I am having an issue where movies do not automatically appear fullscreen when I launch them from the plugin. I have to use the mouse to click the Fullscreen button on the movie.

I am using the latest version of the plugin (1.0.2), which I installed after uninstalling the old version and deleting the MyNetflix database. This problem actually started with the previous version of the plugin (which was working properly at one point). I thought the new version might resolve it, but I'm having the same problem.

I'm attaching a screenshot of how my screen looks when I try to play a movie. As you can see, the red icons do appear in the system tray, so that part seems to be working properly. I can stop the movie and close the browser using the Stop button on my remote, but the other remote functions (play, pause, etc.) don't work until I manually make the movie fullscreen using the mouse.

I'm also attaching my log files, which appear to show an error regarding an "id 110099." Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My system behaves EXACTLY the same way with the latest plugin and the latest SVN. I just haven't complained about it cause I'm too lazy to collect the logs and I figured I was a anomaly if nobody else mentions it.

I got around it by using a custom Firefox browser with the kiosk plugin enabled. But i'd like to go back to the default browser if this can be fixed.

    Cheers!

    Chris

    @Mellroc & Deel,
I just started a movie that didnt go fullscreen. As soon as I clicked on the Fullscreen button all the other functions worked as they should. The reason it didnt go fullscreen is the "Full Screen" Image was hanging off the edge of the screen, so the script couldnt read the entire image. Have you guys noticed the same behavior? The next time you notice that it doesnt go fullscreen, 1. see if the image is not completely on the screen & 2. click on the fullscreen button and see if the other functions (pause, rw, ff, etc..) still work.

If that is the issue, I think we may be coming closer to a resolution to your problem.

    Wile E.

EDIT: As I suspected, I cropped the image in the "Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\NetFlix_Remote\netflix_player_buttons" folder from "Full Screen" to "Full S", and it worked fine. I have attached the new image if you want to try it out...

I see that a few people have downloaded the new "Full Screen" graphic, was it helpful? Did it solve your full screen issue?

Thanks for continuing to pursue this issue. I think your hypothesis might be right. In all cases when the movie does not go fullscreen for me, the full screen button image is either partially or completely off the screen when the player loads. When I click the button, the movie goes full screen, and all the remote functions work.

In my case, I'm running my TV (which is an old-fashioned CRT set, not hi-def) at a low resolution (800x600), which is probably why the full screen button ends up appearing offscreen. So the new graphic you created didn't make a difference for me, because in some cases the button is completely off the screen. But today I tried switching my display to a higher resolution (1024x768), and when I launched a movie, it displayed fullscreen without a problem. I'm guessing this is because, at the higher resolution, the fullscreen button is not obscured the way it is at the lower resolution.

If there's a way to address that, that would be great. But I imagine I might be one of the few folks around here running such a low desktop resolution (it makes text easier to read in Windows). So I wonder whether it's worth your time! In any case, I hope the information helps.

AHHHH! Now the true issue is coming out ;) 800x600??? I think my iPhone has better resolution than that :) (JK)

I have hooked up with the SageTV Netflix guru, and we have been throwing ideas back and forth at each other for a more integrated browser. Hopefully over the next month or so we may find an alternative solution and bring the Instant watch viewing directly into MP.

I also have been watching this thread closely -> https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-plugins-47/webbrowser-v0-6-08-09-2009-updated-70005/. He has created an integrated browser into MP but unfortunately, for some reason, it doesnt support Silverlight. I plan to contact him and see if I can possibly take a look at his code and work out a solution that way as well.

First, thanks for the great plugin

second, a minor bug: When exiting the plugin player with ctrl-e, mediaportal is not restored (remains minimized)

    Hi NYT,
    Thanks for the feedback...

Check your General Settings in MP config to see if the "Always keep MP on top" is checked. If so that is probably what is causing the issue. Unfortuantely I have not found a solution to this issue, only the workaround.

Not sure if this is the same issue mentioned prior in the thread, but but I get these errors in my error log file:
    Code:

also, whenever I try to play some movies, like Ghostbusters, the screen will not go full screen without me hitting the "full screen" button

Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

    Hey Winterecape,
Sorry for the delay, I was out of town this past weekend and had limited access. Have you tried the 1.0.3 version of MyNetFlix? Also, if the problem persists, could you post your complete log file?

    Thanks,
    Wile E.

    Hello WileE!
I reinstalled my OS and MP but for some reason I get the error 'Unable to play. netflix_remote.exe is unavailable'. I reinstalled and I also checked the link within the plugin configuration and all looks correct. I'm authorized it appears. I'm running version 1.03. I see where someone else ran into this issue but I couldn't find the solution. Let me know if you want my log files.

Kinda sucks in that I had this working great before the reinstall!

BTW: Have you dried out yet from the storm that came through? I'm about 4 hours south-west of you.

    Thanks!
