AHHHH! Now the true issue is coming out ;) 800x600??? I think my iPhone has better resolution than that :) (JK)
Unfortunately resolution does not seem to be the culprit. I use 1280 x 768 on a wide screen monitor and have this issue with movies that are in the 4x3 aspect ratio. Wide screen movies work fine. I have your new graphic and will see if that helps.

    Hello WileE!
I reinstalled my OS and MP but for some reason I get the error 'Unable to play. netflix_remote.exe is unavailable'. I reinstalled and I also checked the link within the plugin configuration and all looks correct. I'm authorized it appears. I'm running version 1.03. I see where someone else ran into this issue but I couldn't find the solution. Let me know if you want my log files.

Kinda sucks in that I had this working great before the reinstall!

BTW: Have you dried out yet from the storm that came through? I'm about 4 hours south-west of you.

    Thanks!

    Hey Moonracer,
Could you check your MP plugins install folder (Team MediaPortal/MediaPortal/Plugins) and see if there is a folder called NetFlix_Remote? If the folder exists are there any files in the folder?

    Hi Sorcerer,
I was just kidding you about the resolution :) I have noticed that some 4:3 content does cut off the graphic, so hopefully the new one will help resolve your issue.

    WileE,
I do have the folder and there are three files within: netflix_control.exe , netflix_remote.exe & webbrowser.exe.

    C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\NetFlix_Remote is the path.

    Thanks

    Hey Moonracer,
Sorry for the delay, I just caught your post...

Try this older version (1.0.2b) and see if it resolves your issue.

And yes, we have been pounded with a lot of rain recently. Have you seen the same? At least its not snow :D

    Hey Moonracer,
You should be able to go into the Extension Installer and Uninstall the plugin. You can also click on the User Config Files drop down at the top left corner of the MP Config to open the Database folder (if you wish to delete your database.)

Please let me know if your issue persists and we can try to get to the bottom of it.

    Great Plugin!

Thanks so much for this plugin. It was the missing piece for MediaPortal. I can't wait to see the changes that come after NetFlix releases the new API. Also your idea to incorporate direct play inside MP without an external player would be really cool to see.

I also have a question. I have turned off the "My" prefixes so now 'My TV' is just 'TV, etc. But the plugin is still 'My NetFlix'. Is there a way to turn off the prefix for it or change the way it is displayed? Very minor thing but just wondered.

Thanks again and keep up the good work. Btw, any chance that this plugin will go open source or get brought into the main product?

    Hey gserg,
    Thanks for the feedback...

I would like to be able to allow folks to rename the plugin, but Netflix is real picky about applications developed against their API. They want to make sure folks know that the apps are not developed by them, and by 3rd parties. So the name "My NetFlix" implies it is associated with Netflix, but not developed by them (does that make sense?)

Since Netflix is only a USA product, I doubt seriously that My NetFlix will ever be a part of the main product.

    Thanks again,
    Wile E.

Btw, I am a .NET developer by trade. I am interested in taking a crack at the SDK. I might play around with a web browser plug-in if I can find the time in the next few weeks. If I can get it to play NetFlix content and accept remote commands, I will drop you line if you are interested.
