Hey Guzzi,
It's me again. I downloaded and was able to install version 6.1.0.3107 and got the following messages.When I clicked on the MF config. icon I got the this message
When I clicked on MP Plugin Config. I got this message.
And I couldon't go any further. I don't think this a bug its probably something I did wrong or missed.
Again I'm on MP1.8 Pre and Titanius skin and I'm about to update to the just released MP 1.8.
Also the installation of My Films wiped out "online Videos" I uninstalled My Films and Onlinevideos came back.

Any Ideas on this problem as I anxious to get back to My Films.

Hi Calsi,
as you're on 1.8pre (I tested with that too!), I would assume, you've intalled/available .Net4 runtime properly.
Could you please post log files for both installed and not installed to get an idea what happens? Onlinevideso "disappearing" might be a int of incopatible shared dlls, but since I never saw that before yet, we have to find what's happening.

Same problem here. And one more thing: after installing MP 1.8, OnlineVideos does not appear in the Known Extension list in Extension Installer. I had to download and install it manually. Still, MyFilms dependency check keeps saying that OnlineVideos must be installed.

What problem? The error messages? And same - please post log files, so we can discover what is happening.

That should be unrelated to MyFilms.

Still, MyFilms dependency check keeps saying that OnlineVideos must be installed.

MyFilms needs Online Videos for several features, it is not a hard requirement, but features depend on OV being installed.

I have had also that problem for some time. And still with 1.8

I had .Net 4.0 installed on my PC. I installed .Net 4.5 and this solved the issue.

I took your suggestion and installed Net4.5 and this solved our problem. Bingo, clicked on My Films and went right into the configuration setup and got my movies database back to where it was before My Films went south. Great stuff, I didn't think of that one. We can tell Guzzi he can relax, as this one is one less to worry about.

Bingo, clicked on My Films and went right into the configuration setup and got my movies database back to where it was before My Films went south. Great stuff, I didn't think of that one. Good to hear, that solved it - but I am not shure what is causing it. MF is build against .Net4. Yes, there was .Net4.5 installed on the build machine (Win8). Maybe we need to install the MyFilms.dll.config file too to give proper hints about runtime environment!? If anyone can give me a hint what change is required to solve that issue I'd fix the build. @Dadeo: for now, should we add that info somewhere so others running into the same trouble can find it easier until we have a solution?
