Re: AW: Re: [Plugin] Browse The Web / Webbrowser

I think this plugin is for MP 1.1.x only...

I am running it on MP 1.2 alpha/WinXP SP3 without problems, so it's not.
Thunder, try a fresh install of MP and browser. What version is Win7, 32 or 64bit?

Here it works as expected even on latest SVN for MP 1.2. Beta (Win7x64) ;)

    BUGS:
    1. when browsing at Google, number for search field (21) is hidden behind virtual keyboard button (see image 1). Issue at google is not that big, but it might happen on another website. Numbers should be always on top.
    2. Some links seems to be bugged, where background completely dissappears and only numbers shows up. And sometimes number completely covers background(see picture 2 and 3).
    3. Javascript links are not working (links that won't redirect to new page, but just change existing page)

    REQUESTS:
    1. When you hit download link for files that MP can play (mp3, avi etc.), it would be awesome to start playing it directly in mediaportal in streaming mode.
    2. Loading animation or some other indicator that page is loading.

Otherwise, great plugin. I love it.

AW: [Plugin] Browse The Web / Webbrowser

to profe the function try first using the keyboard:

    Keyboard...Remote...Function
    ----------------------------------
    P...Play...select a url
    Hello kroko,

using the plugin is already failing this functionality - I can't select anything:
The plugin starts with the predefined web page. I can then enter a number to select an article, but pressing "P" brings up the onscreen keyboard and a status message on the bottom of the screen that is referring to playing music.

    EDIT:
MAybe I misunderstood the explanations. COuld it be that you defined "#" for confirming the address? That doesn't work on my remote...
IMHO it would anyway be better to use the central "OK" button as the equivalent for Enter on the keyboard.

Any idea on how to change the behavior?

    Thanks,
    HTPC_Sourcer

    Hi HTPC_Sourcer,

see the screen shot in the first post. The "confirm link" button can be adjusted in the setup.

    try using

    ACTION_SELECT_ITEM

for "Confirm Link ID" in the setup (4).

    see under

    C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Cache

there should be a file :
    xulrunner.zip

This needs to be extracted to
    C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xulrunner

    otherwise its not working.

    Hi kroko,
maybe it´s a good idea to not install files into C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Cache (xulrunner and unzip).
You can easily adjust the MPE Maker to install the files directly to the folder C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xulrunner so no more action from the user is required ;)
