AW: [Plugin] Browse The Web / Webbrowser

Hi catavolt,

you are right. Just moved the thumbs to the folder "thumbs". If you upgrade the files should be transfered automaticly.
Thanks for the hint.
The files should be online now. I will update the repro soon as well, since there have been not much request since the last version.

Hi geoffw,

try using

ACTION_SELECT_ITEM

for "Confirm Link ID" in the setup (4).

If still not working enable the status bar and the remote diagnotstic to see the correct action there.
If nothing helps switch on the log verbosity in the MP setup and try to select a link. The email or post me the log.

Regards
kroko

Re: AW: [Plugin] Browse The Web / Webbrowser

Hi kroko

On some web pages the numerical links do not work as expected. Please have a look at this side and navigate down to the links for the following page of the article as shown in the attached picture. I pressed the "195" and the browser does not navigate to the next screen, but again to the current one.

Börsenausblick: Hoffnung auf Jahresendrally schwindet | FTD.de

Do you have an idea why?

IMHO this is the best Webbrowser integration for MediaPortal at the moment!
Some improvement suggestions:

1)
If some media (e.g. TV, Music, ...) is playing in the background
all keyboard (or remote) keys are first used from the other plugin.
Is it possible to block the received keys so they are only used
by "BrowseTheWeb" if it is running?
Else it is not possible to listen music while browsing through the web.

2)
A keyboard shortcut (e.g. 0) would be nice to delete bookmarks.

3)
Is it possible to integrate an alternative mouse control mode where
the mouse cursor is moved with 8 (up), 2 (down), 4 (left), 6 (right),
5 (left click), 0 (right click)?

Hello hirscho,

yes I know why..

your page adress is:
...sendrally-schwindet/50199183.html#utm_source=rss2&utm_medium=rss_feed&utm_campaign=

and the link is
link ?page=2

I use the C# function Uri.TryCreate to combine the path to get the target url. The result is wrong in this case:

result:
...sendrally-schwindet/?page=2

should be:
...sendrally-schwindet/50199183.html?page=2

not sure what to do here... its a standard C# function.. I will see if I can find anything else.

Hi zunixnuz,

Thangs for the suggestions.

I will take a look at 1) and 2.
3) Do you want to use the num block instead of the cursor buttons or why you need this ? Disable numlook should work ??

Hey, I'm just trying the plugin and it look great :)
I use Eventghost to control MediaPortal. The dash (#) key on my remote is now simulated as typing a dash (#). It's not working when I try to go to a link by number + dash.. Using U on the keyboard works, but when simulating it in EventGhost it also not works. + It's not logical to bind a U to the dash key... Maybe you can fix it?

No, zunixnuz want to simulate cursor moving through mouse control simulation with numeric keys.

Btw, I have used at my MeP setup mouse control simulation owing to EventGhost remote control application. There I use keys on my Logitech Harmony One:

    1 left-up move
    2 up move
    3 right-up move
    4 left move
    5 left click
    6 right move
    7 left-down move
    8 down move
    9 right-down move
    + (*) ctrl-home
    0 right click
    E (#) ctrl-end

Special EventGhost script make possible switching between normal (number entry) and mouse control simulation mode. I think it is good alternate to those who like mouse control using and meaningful idea for next extension of the Webbrowser plugin.

    Yes, he is right!
I would like to move the mouse cursor with the number keys on my remote.
This could be an alternative input mode to "Link-ID Input" and "Mouse enabled".

    Hi Kroko,

I am missing way to control e.g. embedded flash players (like a youtube video) while in link id mode. otherwise I cannot start or stop a video while navigating through the page. Maybe if I could switch from link id mode to mouse mode with a shortcut or to have both link id and mouse control available at the same time?
