I meant to direct this question at the group to see if anyone else had an opinion on how the new email indicator should work. I should have said "Does anyone else have an opinion on this?"

Okay, I played with the colors and this is what I found...

<selectedColor>00ffffff</selectedColor> (This is the color of the selected item)
<textcolor>ffffffff</textcolor> (This is the color if the mail IS read)
<playedColor>ffa0d0ff</playedColor> (This is the color if the mail is NOT read)
<unfocusedAlpha>180</unfocusedAlpha> (This adjusts how transparent the color of the unselected items are, I moved this from the default of 150 to 180 to make the text look more white.)


With these adjustments I was able to modify my skin (currently using Maya) to show the items as I wanted. I will still add the unread dot back though

EDIT: I forgot to mention that you will probably have to add these fields to your listcontrol, as they are probably not there...

Hey ZealotTC,
I presume you have the latest SVN installed? The past few SVN's have the newer installer.

If you start the MP Installer manually from the Start menu, you should be able to install it from there.

Update...

I just attached My eMail Manager 1.0.1 RC 1 to the first post. It addresses the green dot and a few other small issues. I still have a few issues to resolve...
- fmulders reset issue
- VRM's underscore issue.

If I have missed an issue or if there are new issues with RC 1 please let me know.

I played with the 'textbox' control last night, but was unable to come up with a solid working solution. Whenever I hit the left button to go to the textbox control, the hidden menu pops up. So when I change the <onleft> tags to point to the textbox it exibited all kinds of wierd behavior. I will continue to research and come up with some solution.

Just right click and select "open with".
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal and select the MPinstaller. Done!
(do not use the MPEinstaller, than you get the error)

I just installed 1.0.1 RC1.
But I get and error when opening the plugin sector.

"An error occured while loading the plugin InterIMAP.IMAPMail.
It's incompatible with the current MediaPortal version and won't be loaded."

(went back to 1.0 now,...I like the green bullet and have no need for color change of read items)

we both missed this line in the first post:
Please delete your eMail database before trying 1.0.1 RC 1 or later.

:sorry: But it is working now.
I am testing now and will give feedback later...
