AW: Re: PowerScheduler++ Test Versions - 1.1.8.0 for MP 1.2.0 RC

Hi Michael,

I have a problem with Powerscheduler ++. When watching a video, or film it thinks nothing is happening and hibernates. If you can let me know which log you need I'll post up. I couldn't see log specifically related to PowerScheduler++

Thanks,

M.

AW: PowerScheduler++ Test Versions - 1.1.8.0 for MP 1.2.0 RC

    Hey guys...

I installed ps++ because of the "run comand before standby" feature but that's not working in ps++ either.
Is that a general problem of the powerscheduler or a known problem or am I doing something wrong?

I just want to launch a exe which closes mp before my pc hibernates.

    Cheers

I read this post plus the following but unfortunately did neither ps nor ps++ execute my program which was a simple example.exe.
And even if the time was to short for ps to execute the program prior hibernating it doesn't even work after resuming.
Fortunately the guy with the problem of the post you have linked found a program which executes programs prior suspending
or after resuming but I found it much smarter if ps (or ps++) could do that out of the box without extra tools and programs.

    Hello together,
A friend of mine testet PS++ and it didn´t work as he expected. I think the original PS is enough for his tasks.
Is it possible to remove PS++ and get back the original PS?

I replaced the PS++ Plugins in TV Server and MP with the original ones from my htpc and it looks like it is working.

is this version ready for 1.2.0 final?

    Yes.

When you install 1.2.0 Final it overwrites the PowerScheduler++ with the standard PowerScheduler files, so you need to re-install the PowerScheduler++ plugin even if you are only doing an upgrade from 1.2.0 RC to Final.

For some reason, my system does not like stopping the TV Service (I think it is a problem with my setup rather than the PowerScheduler++ install programme). Therefore, if you have this problem the way to get round it is to do the following:

    1) Run TV Server Config
    2) Using the "Manual Control" tab, select STOP TV SERVICE
    3) Click OK to close the TV Server Config
    4) Run PowerScheduler++ installation (will re-start the TV Service at the end of the installation).
    5) Configure PowerScheduler in client and server.

    Thanks for testing, Robbo100!
Since I am in vacations I could not test it myself. As soon as I am home again, I will provide an "official" PowerScheduler++ version for 1.2.0 (it will be the same as for 1.2.0 RC since there were no bug fixes in the meantime).
BTW: You can also stop tvservice with command prompt "net stop tvservice" (run as administrator) or by stopping it in the "Administration" - "Services" tool or by killing tvservice.exe in Task Manager (if nothing else helps).

    @webchris:
The PowerScheduler plugin that crashed is not the PowerScheduler++. Make sure you have installed PS++ and then see if it still crashes.
