Fresh install MP 1.0.2 aborts at MySQL installation with the errors attached.

I have the same problem.

It seems the deploytool can't find the package on the server.

Same Here...... but there is a workaround :)

I did a manual download from the install.team-mediaportal.com server. Unfortunatly the download was extremely slow (less than 28 KBs). Also I noticed that the MySql verssion thay you doanload from install.team-mediaportal is 5.1.38 (not 5.1.35 as mentioned by the downloader)

I have downloaded MySql from here:
Download MySQL 5.1.38 - Technical Details - FileHippo.com

Installed it with default values, and then installed MediaPortal and selected "allready have msql database" during install. Then during install hooked up myslq tv server config to the mysql server with the hostname and root password that I chose during the installation of MySQL.

Cheers,
Luke

Hi, I didn't have SQL problems but just wanted to agree that on my Win7 system, a clean install of 1.36 TV server x86 does not work since it won't start the TV server configuration. Installing 1.33 first and upgrading to1.36 fixed the problem. Eggert

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

There seems to be an ongoing problem that some users have when trying to install MP 1.36. I regret that I do not know the cause of this problem, and so cannot suggest a solution. However, I can suggest a workaround that (hopefully) will work for you. The workaround is to: Completely uninstall MP, MySQL, and MariaDB. Perform a...

Result, it works on the two PC's we use for watching TV :D I've not lost anything by the looks of it either, all channels etc still setup. Just my office PC won't connect, which I only use for testing things anyway (I tried updating that this morning as well), but I'll uninstall and install fresh on that. PS. Exported all settings...

Judging by the source code, 1.20 has DB version 61, and 1.33 has DB version 62. That is, one column has been added: symbolRateMultiplier
