Humm! My problem actually disappeared when I cropped the picture a little less. I was going to take a screncap but the text from EVR framethingy [ ! button ] was offside, so I cropped a little less and suddenly I had 50 fps again. \:)/

Pretty odd, but sounds like it could be GPU / driver side limitation. After all, rescaling is completely done on that side. What is the source & target resolutions and what is the cropping amount that causes the issue and what works? Maybe we can see something from those.

Check this log from when I changed.

Edit: Whatever it was, I cannot get it back, even if I set back the cropping.

I would suggest to disable ALL 3rd party plugins when the issue next time appears. Info service etc. plugins are known to cause video playback quality issues.

what about a shortcut on a desktop with a special debug mode which disabled all 3rd party plugins with this start and set log to debug

You can do this with a simple batch file.
Create a MediaPortal.xml without 3rd party plugins and name it "mp_std_plugins.xml" and a MediaPortal.xml with your normal config and name it "mp_full.xml"
    Now Create 2 batchfiles:
    1) MP_Plain.bat (copy mp_std_plugins.xml to mediaportal.xml and overwrite the current)
    2) MP_DailyUse.bat (copy mp_full.xml to mediaportal.xml and overwrite the current)

Sometimes the solution is simpler than you would guess :D

Guano! My low fps problem came back. This time nothing helped but to replace TSreader to an older one, so there is an issue here.

Well, if they suddenly came back it is not the TsReader swapping that did solve it :)

We'll see... If it stays away with the old TSreader, I would guess it is.

Edit: ...or not... Swapping back and everything is fine...

Anyway, I tried lots of things like running without plugins, changing catalyst settings, display size, codecs, cropping, fps settings, restarting tv-server, restarting MP, restarting PC

Only thing that helped was swapping tsreader.

I'll probably get back if I find something out.
