I don't have that much experience with xmls, but I have a version that works with avalon so at least there's a starting point. The only one that has to be done is Recorded TV. So far my attempts to modify BasicHome have had some issues with navigation after I move buttons/menus around. Of course I've only spent about 10 minutes with it and I was easily able to get items where they should be. It would be great if I could actually navigate the structure in a way that made sense.
What about Netflix? Am I on my own there as well?
EDIT:
I just got the navigation working. I might get this figured out yet.
Just tried PureVision Horizon and I must say...Catavolt, you have a new winner in my book!
I have been trying Metro, but I missed the wonderful images and animations though I really liked the menu system and speed.
With Horizon, the clean menus on the bottom are great and it's also faster than regular PVHD.
Plus I was never able to see that classic poster on the wall of the home screen image before!
Haven't tried the editor yet, that's next.
Thanks again CataVolt
Hi tamvegas, you´re faster than I (may be an age problem on my side )
so here for all others:
Just released: PureVisionHD Horizon(16:9) Version 5.1
dated: 29.01.2012
compatible with MediaPortal 1.2.x
DL: PureVisionHD Horizon 5.1
And no - there is no editor yet
But besides that: Discover new horizons with PVHD Horizon 5.1
Been checking Horizon a bit more now (it was 5:00 am here when I installed it and I needed sleep ) and I noticed a couple odd actions.
On the Internet menu, it lists two plugins (My Comics & ScoreCenter), but when I access them all I get is a black screen. Using the down arrow brings me right back to the new home screen.
When I click on the Root Menu on the home page, it brings me to the old HD style Root screen where all my plugins (including My Comics & ScoreCenter) are listed and work properly.
Hitting Escape a couple times brings me right back to the new Home screen.
Aside from those oddities, Horizon seems to be working perfectly.
I do miss that little analog clock a bit though.
And CataVolt, I doubt there's much age difference (I'll be 59 in a couple months ), I just happened to catch the download just as it became active.
Edit Note - I tried the Internet plugins on my main HTPC (I was testing on my notebook) and it works fine. Seems I hadn't installed the Browse the Web plugin on my notebook. After installing that, the Internet menu with MyComics and ScoreCenter works correctly.
The Browse the Web plugin wasn't necessary before for those plugins to be accessed.
Might there eventually be an Editor for this skin? A little re-arranging would be nice.
It turns out that 4TR was as simple as renaming the 4TRRecordedTV xml file to have a 2 at the end. I have also got the top level menu in Basic Home the way I want, but I can't get the next level down to navigate correctly.
