The Fast Access Topbar is not working here. The function is enabled in GUI skin settings. The extra height bar appears, so skin.hassetting(#skin.fastaccess) is working. I suspected the visibility conditions, so I set the World Weather version to true in the stack and in one of the buttons. No help. Also tried setting a text color in the stack. No help. Cache cleared with each topbar.xml edit.

I also put "TV" instead of 605 in the first item. No help. I'll try some more to pin it down.[DOUBLEPOST=1384987384][/DOUBLEPOST]It's now working!! I cleared the cache, ran config, selected default skin and its now there.

Previously, I had installed, and just ran, since the cache was cleared. It came up in default skin, but I had previously been running Horizon. I didn't think anything about it at the time -- just tried the topbar and it was missing. Then got busy with debugging and never did use config until now.[DOUBLEPOST=1384988569][/DOUBLEPOST]OK, further checking showed the first 5 items work, but the next 5 don't. They all follow "Online videos" which I do not have installed or enabled.

In my limited experience, the "onright" parameter in a button must be correct for the following button to work. Contrary to what the Wiki says, you can't leave the "onright" out, either. If I'm correct, that would explain the problem, since the "onright"s are off by one following an uninstalled plugin.

Ah, OK, that´s the bug then we have in horizontal stack layout (which works perfect in vertical layout) - that´s why I have to put in two fastaccess bars regarding the different hyperlinks for the two World Weathers ;)

I think it's not that simple. I recoded the topbar to have no visibilty conditions and no left-right "errors" and it's still not working past the 5th item. I'm now verifying that I did it right. I reinstalled to make sure I'm starting with a clean slate.

Also, and more importantly (?), a reboot, a cache clear, a config, and a run works for default theme. But at least some other scenarios do not. It almost seems to me that the skin handler gets into a bad state but keeps running for most things but not topbar, or that it "compiles" the topbar and it stays around indefinitely. All this needs to be verified, of course. The "compile" thing strikes me as possible, because my old experimental topbar stays "enabled" even when switching to a different theme where it's not defined.

More info. I verified no visibility conditions and no left-right errors -- default theme worked in all positions after a clear cache. Made a change, change took effect without a cache clear. Changed theme to horizon with GUI, topbar displayed, but locked up MP pressing Music. Pressed 'X' button, no effect. Went to computer to kill it manually, and it quit before I could kill it. (30 seconds?) This "lock up" may have been the usual delay when changing theme.

Anyway, cleared cache (assuming there had been a problem when maybe there wasn't), and tried Horizon again. Horizon displayed, but second topbar line is blank. Changed theme back to default with GUI and second topbar is still blank.

Killed manually, cleared cache, left as default theme, second line of topbar displayed. Pressed Music. Here again, the delay was excessive, but again was not truly locked up.

So it appears that possibly visibility conditions, left-right bugs, and Horizon are at fault somehow. The only thing of interest I see in Horizon is references.xml.

Hi Pat, tested again in depth here (as I did before releasing the skin) and all works perfect (using either mouse or remote or keyboard) in all themes...
