question about language (1 Viewer)

Many menu strings on this skin have original english names, such as : watch,system , games etc....

Can this be changed to our language ??

There is a skin translation plugin for which you have to supply translation files.

Hmm, can't find it right now. Check the Avalon Skin it does translation I think.

Hi hilfer - you don't need to use skin translations plugin if you don't want to. You can change the names/labels yourself using the Basic Home Editor for either revaMPed or Vintage layout (If you are getting Watch I am guessing you use Vintage Basic Home layout). So in the Editor:

1. Double click the button you want to change (Watch for example)
2. Click the Advanced Button
3. In the Label ID box change the text to whatever you wish.

MP language files don't provide translations for all the menu labels, but I will see if I can do something for next release of aMPed to make it automatic.

Thanks! The idea is that you can use the sub menus however you wish, so you can name them something other than Watch/System/Music/Games/News if your prefer, and add whatever plugins you want to the sub menus. You will notice there are also two 'Extra' Sub Menus you can use however you want. Unfortunately the Main screen is limited to 5 buttons but I plan to change that next release so you can design your main layout the same way you can design the layout on the sub menus (by moving buttons around and leaving some blank.)

There are still so many things that I have to learn about this skin.

One trhing that I still get confused is with basic home menus.

Sometimes I find easily what I want sometimes not.
I have to make more experiments about this nice skin.

Yeah there are a lot of options (trust me I have to test them all! YUK!) I tried to make it a bit easier to grasp with the new Choosing Your Options page in Wiki whcih describes how to combine aMPed options to get different effects. But still, trial and error is the best way I guess.

About Basic Home, if you give me an example of what you cannot find easily maybe I can give you some tips how best to solve that.
