Maybe one suggestion: Could folder.m3u playback disable the use of cross-fading and fade-in/out? This would help with a lot of these issues. Later if music player threading issues are sorted we could re-enable them? Or will the threading be solved within 1.4 and we can move back to background fades again? Fades being on the GUI thread is causing these things is my assumption here.

Yes, Cross fading can be disabled, which also has a direct effect on Fade out.

But i am afraid, that i can't sort out the threading issuie for 1.4. I am trying all possibilities to have it render the main thread, but can't find it.
We need to stay as it is with the threading for 1.4.

It's not really m3u folder issue but more sharing of audio with video item etc. (i think).

So this is only a problem if videos are played within a picture show?

Yes about hang about music not stop (i can't reproduce and maybe timing issue).

It sounds as though the issue with music is already in 1.4.0 Pre, so the fix does not cause regression.

Well, the EXIF fix is a separate mantis/branch, which is (IMO) ready to merge.

Do we have a mantis for the BASS issue?

I have do 2 try :

• Tweak a little analyse slide (not sure if needed)
• Don't send Pause / REW / FF when slideshow is running (this mean music will not be paused / rewind / FastForward when we watch a slideshow, so doing pause for ex will pause the slideshow but not the music like it's actually done with mouse click)
