So its mabe issue with timeshift positioning or its cached someware,i dont know

But next time i happends ill gather timeshift files too
and another idea is to seek back and see if it plays correctly. if yes then its not stream issue.

I'm struggling around with the same problem. If I've more time I'll try to catch proper logs and a timeshift file this weekend.

Even after 50 channel changes between dvb-s2 HD channels, I am not able to trigger any issue.

Mostly it happens while switching from SD to HD or HD to SD.

If I try these four channel changing in a short interval it nearly happens each time:

HD streaming (ok) -> switching to another HD (ok) -> switching to SD (mostly ok 9/10) -> switching to another SD (mostly ok 8/10) -> switching back to HD (nok 6/10).

I have tested RC2 on 1 server + 2 client pcs.

Server:

WinXP/sp3
Nvidia 7900gtx
tv mpeg2 codec: PDVD8
tv h264 codec: CoreAVC 2.0 software, also tested PDVD8 (hardware acc. enabled?)
tv audio: ffdshow 3233
video link: DVI

No problem with switching channels/frozen picture using PDVD8. Switching channel with CoreAVC to BBC HD gives sometimes blocks from picture of old channel. This will go away after some time.

Livingroom client:

WinXP/sp3
ATI HD4670
tv mpeg2 codec: PDVD7
tv h264 codec: PDVD8 (hardware acc. enabled,dxva)
tv audio: ffdshow 3356
video link: via HDMI to AV receiver to TV

Problem with switching HD - frozen picture. Also problem with audio out of sync spontanious after some time. Also often sync problems video/audio(single stutter). Also heavy continuous stuttering usually after 15/20 minutes.
These problems go away again by moving in the timeshiftbuffer (resync).

Bedroom client:

I'm just giving an overview of the systems and problems. Perhaps it can give a clue for tracking down anything.
Logs are provided in my first post (server & livingroom pc logs) for the switching/freezing problem.

I think the issue on this thread here is the same and the guy has extensive logs and also uploaded a .ts sample.

There are around 2 or 3 topics with almost the same symptoms.

Maybe it is a stupid suggestion but is it hard to merge them?

No its another issue

its happens just while watching and has real pat changes 10 to 11 to 12

but we have it on zapping and rounding between 2 pats

I can confirm that after receiving the black screen and then the frozen image of the previous channel I can fix the problem by stepping forward. I have attached logs showing this process:

Start on Channel SC10,
Change to ABC1 works fine,
Change back to SC10 locks up,
Step Forward SC10 works fine.
