I wrote a suggestion in infoservice forum so they add support for MyFilms with the feature of recent added films, so the skinners can place latest added movies info in the basic home
InfoService - MediaPortal Forum

Help me :)

I found a surround. I installed mpving pictures configured with same video folders that I use in myfilms, so now I can use the last added films in my basichome. But its a ugly solution, it would be nice if we could use this plugin directly with our myfilms database

I noted this for 5.x release - I think it's probably easiest, if myfilms itself exposes last added movies as properties - so this could easily be integrated in any skin (even without other tools).

The question would be what property to use for this. Probably the best election would be date, but in the improbable case that you add and watch more than 3 movies in a day, number would be better.
Althought it hasnt hour info, I think date is OK

Another feature related with infoservice is the one updating your twitter status with the video u are watching. It works with tvseries and moving pics, but not with myvideos (teoricaly is supported) nor myfilms (not supported....yet)

Thanks for the update on this. I should have searched before posting, always assume it is something I have done wrong.

that really sounds like an authorization issue. do you already have an OpenSubtitlesConfiguration.xml in the programfiles\tean mediaportal\subtitledownloaders folder? there you can fill in your credentials. I'm sure it is documented somewhere...

Looks like there's some kind of error regarding translations that I can't pinpoint about Subcentral. You'll find it in the log file I attached to my previous message. I don't understand it because I use MP in english, I search for subtitles in english and not in my native language, so I can't figure out what's translation got to do...

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...
