Its the standard 45 button remote, so should work, there are people having problems, but hopefully you will not be one of them.
In MP config, under hauppauge remote you should be able to select the "use this remote" button.
ps. i used the MCE driver package, should work for xp as well, all it means is that only drivers for card\remote are installed, no software\codecs, upto you which you select.
