Very new to MediaPortal 1.4. Have got it up and running but very confused with setting up a remote. I am using a TSB6220 tv card and remote. Any simple help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    Welcome to MediaPortal :)

    1. Can you please tell us what is working and what is not working.

    2. What type of remote is included with the card (eg. MCE Clone, X10, etc.)?

    3. Is it an IR (infrared) or RF (radio frequency) remote?

    4. Did you install the remote drivers, did they install corretly?

    5. Is the remote working with other software?

    6. Can you do the following please

    Start Button
Right Click on "Computer" and select properties
    Click Device Manager
    Find the remote
    Make a screenshot
Right click remote and select properties
    Click on driver tab
    Make a 2nd screenshot
Upload 2x screenshot so we know what driver it uses, if the driver is working, and the type of remote.

^ With the above information we can help you sort out your problem :)

    Thanks
    Kiwi

PS. If the remote is an MCE clone with driver alreay installed, you only need to tick one box in mediaportal configuration. It's under Remotes -> MCE -> [X] Use MCE Remote.

    Hello
    In answer to your questions:
    1. The TV card TSB6200 is working ,but can not get the remote to work with it.
No problem with MediaPortal all working.
    2. Sorry but do not know. The software is TBSVHID. It is not a MCE or clone.
    3. IR type remote
    4. Installed driver but can not find it in device manager.
    5. No
    6. Only been able to take one screen shot, as can not find remote anywhere.

I think I might struggle with this but thanks for help.

Thank you for this tip! I'm moving MP TV Server to a new machine. I installed the 64-bit version and most of the MP firewall rules were set to Public. I couldn't connect to the new TV Server from my old single-seat installation running 32-bit until I changed all MP-related firewall rules on the new machine to Private. Before I did...
