    Hi all!

Ive been using this and moving pictures for ages and im tired of having to manually go in and change search strings over and over. Is there a way to rename files inside the MP TVSeries config like u can in Moving Pictures?

    Im using theRenamer (http://www.therenamer.com/)
after some manual renaming of files to their correct seriesnumber/episode number it works fine...
Other random files that dont match ive moved all to another folder so the vidoe db doesnt scan them

EDIT: this is so that MP TVSeries plugin works well, not the internal video db

Seriesrenamer and Mediarenamer both look very promising.
I've only tested FileBot and theRenamer (and a couple of other tools not worth mentioning here). I gave up on theRenamer cause I didn't like the interface and couldn't get it to work as expected.

I think this is a good move either way. I've got several shares for series, movies, homevideos, testing stuff.
This way you can give any plugin the sources it needs.

pretty much any half ass scraper you don't need to rename files, but scrapers don't place downloads in correct directories. also some people like to have their files nicely named with identical format. renamers can also be set to auto mode, auto unzip, auto download subtitles, auto move files + rename them, auto delete .nfo files and .txt files etc etc.

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...

I have also had this problem in the past. There are two components to this problem: Your internet router is pinging the HTPC at regular intervals in order to see if the HTPC is still present on the network. The network adapter in the HTPC has "Wake on Lan" enabled. So at the end of a recording, the HTPC transitions from away mode to...

I have recently installed MediaPortal 1.37 (x64) and MP-TVSeries v4.5.1.697 and unfortunately the TV episode runtime duration is missing in my Titan skin. This only applies to my .TS files, my .MKV files are OK. I believe the difference is likely to be because .MKV files embed the runtime in the file unlike .TS files. I have done...
