rm? (1 Viewer)

Hi,
when i try to play a .rm footage nothing happen.

I've watched in my setting and the extension is in the list...

What i have to do?:D

    Hi,

    rm is proprietary real media content, officially you can only play it in their RealPlayer (can you say Bloatware? ;-)). There are, however, "realmedia alternative" implementations out there that allow rm to be played in any directshow player (such as MP). So you will need to install that.

    Wich soft can i install to play .rm with MP?
    What have i to do after installation?

    I can't give you a direct link.

    Google "realmedia alternative", install it and add .rm to the video extensions in MP-configuration.

    I don't think so, because MP has no way of knowing at which timestamp the external player stopped playback. Best way to achieve this would be to use an auto-resume feature in your external player itself. (MPC-HC can do that, I don't know about VLC)
