I've read through this thread best I can...but there is just so much. I can't find out what was the real solution for this issue:

Installed SAF, with the PowerDVD file on my C root.

My audio all goes through SPDIF optical into my receiver. No issue here.

My AC3 plays perfect. My DTS movies have a stutter (short sped up video segments) every few seconds. How can I alleviate this? THANKS!

I have another question:

In the first post of this thread you make a point of saying DXVA runs in XP, but Im a bit confused about it. Isnt XP DXVA 1 compatible, and Vista DXVA 2?

Just trying to work out if SAF makes for some degree of equivalence between the two OS's in terms of picture quality. Does your refernece mean SAF is doing DXVA 2 in XP?

Some files have noise and interference on darker parts of the screen. The brighter parts are always fine. The same file works fine with Windows Media Player Classic Home Cinema. No problems at all there, just in MP.

I have SAF v3.47, the files work and do use DXVA, so I assume the problem is not with codecs. My settings are listed below.

What am I doing wrong?

Why don't you
1. Play video with MP in windowed mode with graphedit, note which video decoder is used
2. Play video in MPC-HC with graphedit, note which video decoder is used
This will tell you if it's a codec problem.

by default graphedit does use the correct codecs listed above, I assume it is the same in MP. How do I run Graphedit with MP at the same time?

The file is played fine from graphedit, without this issue of noise

You are right, XP can only done DXVA1. But DXVA is not about picture quality. There are no difference between VMR9 and EVR in picture quality at all.

Can I send you a large one? I am not sure how to safely cut-out the video. The main part I do not know how to keep everything preserved. I also noticed it happens of Full-HD (1080p) files.
