I just downgrade to 9.5 the Catalyst (from 9.8) and no more artifacts...
But the problem remain: I can't play any movie files, all time MP go to desktop. I disable HW acceleration (removing CLVsd.ax file, modifing MP configuration and launching reg command from start menù), but nothig changed...
Now I've removed Saf (last beta) and reinstalling the common ffdshow pack and all movie files works good...
Why?
P.s.: I'm using XP

How did you update drivers? Remember, you need firstly do complete ATI remove, restart, then install new drivers and restart again.

Hmm, looks like WMV handling was changed, MP force to use DMO decoder, which is disabled by SAF. Just re-register "wmvdecod.dll" in system32 folder
But this will disable DXVA in wmv

EDIT:
I found the problem (WMV format), will be fixed in new saf.

MediaPortal internal Player always adds the WMV DMO Codecs for decoding a WMV. I can change in OnlineVideos using a custom setup. Which codec should be used?

Exactly what I usually do when I install new driver.
But the question is: why with the FFdshow pack all works good (OnlineVideos apart...)?
Could be the saf400beta02? Which version is better 4 my HTPC (CPU AMD 4850e, MB Gigabyte GA-MA78GM with Ati HD3200 video chip embedded, Win XP)?

FFDshow Video decoder.
Or do not prefer anything, lets OS decide?

I've just installed Saf 3.47 (and removed last beta) and now all works good! Finaly I can test the really good quality of this codecs pack!
Even Online Videos works pretty well except 4 Apple trailer... I got always the same error: "can' play..." "audio codec:"
Plz help me to resolve the last problem...

Installed SAF 4.0 Beta 2 with the latest CLVsd.ax (8.4.0.615). Looking good so far, have to try other files.

For those of you wondering how to get the latest CLVsd.ax, here are the steps:

1) Get the latest update from the Cyberlink site: DVD Player Software - CyberLink PowerDVD ? #1 Playback Software for DVDs and Blu-ray Discs

2) Open the file downloaded (PowerDVD9.2010(Patch)_DVD090630-01.exe) in WinRAR.

3) Double click Data1.cab file

4) Extract file _33446CDFFA2741B08B69CA4BBF847C54 to C:\ and rename to CLVsd.ax

5) Install SAF as usual (4.0 Beta 2+)

Are you sure MediaPortal.exe takes 50% of CPU usage? Or is it MTN.exe ?
