I think I'm using powerdvd 9 codec now, didn't care which one because it worked
I don't see any difference in the picture anyhow...

I tried PowerDVD 9 and ffdshow codecs in the video codec area but no success.

Try to reinstall them - add/remove programs, remove ati software completly, restart, install and restart.
BTW - did you update quartz.dll to ver. 6.5.2600.5822 ?

I will do reinstall ATI software tomorrow.
I've made a update from windows update and i saw the patch KB971633 in the list so i checked it and installed but i did not install with your link, maybe i shall?

How can i get the SAF log?

I would like to precise that i don't get a black screen when i watch Xvid/Divx movie but a freeze mosaic of small squares of different colors (not watchable at all)
