I want to say that for a long time I had no success with unlocking SAF, even before it was posted how to do so on the first page. I went through many different builds of windows and still could not get it to work. I am now using a 32 bit windows and it worked perfectly so I am real happy about that. Just thought I would post this incase if anyone had problems like I did.

On a side note I want to report that with a utility, SAF will work with windows media center under windows 7. The utility let's you choose what codecs are used in media center and you can select ffdshow and MPC. Unfortunately I havn't gotten DXVA working when selecting MPC and Microsoft's h264 codec has major gamma problems.

Hi Hoborg and all SAF-users,

I just wanted to share my experience with SAf and receiving HDTV broadcast. After having installed the unlocked version,, still only channel-number. EPG and technical info is available for the mpeg-channel chosen. No picture, no sound, and Pc tends to hang, although, sometimes, I can exit the channel and use MP normally. I m using a Hauppauge HVR-1300 card, which as I ve understood, capable of receiving, but not decoding a HDTV signal, which I was hoping SAF would take care of.
For your info, its the Hd version of the Czech NOVA I m ve been trying out.

Any simliar or more successful experiences ut there?

My friend tested SAF and N@VA HD and it is working for him without any problem.
Did you setup TV server to use PDVD9 decoder?

Can you post LOGs (SAF+MediaPortal)?

May I ask what kind f TV-card your friend are using? Do you think its probable that the HVR-300 can receive mpeg-4? So far, I haven't found any hard evidence from other HVR-1300 users on the net...

He have WinTV-HVR-2200 MC.
Just pack MP logs folder and SAF logs in to zip and post i here, i will look.

You should try GB-PVR - just to eliminate MP problem.

I am having problems with MP4 video's to play back. Result is a black screen. Im using 4.0 beta9. Is the problem with WMO still there? Hope you can help HOborg,

GFX: ATI HD4350
ATI CCC: 9.3 (tried 9.7+9.8 and no luck... even worse with *.MTS files and dxva)
SAF 4.0 Beta9 unlocked.

(I dont know what the correct SAF log is, I have several in C:\ Hope this is the correct one)

I am not very wise from your LOG - whar it is "ASUS Virtuoso ASIO"? By some reason i didnt found any info about used decoders = someting tells me MP thik it is mp4 audio file? Try to rename it to MKV. Can you post small sample?
