Nice to see SAF back!

I am using SAF250 and, with mkv files, I have a big problem: video, sound and sub titles are totally out of synchro.
I can change audio channel and/or subtitles with the "A" and "L" keyboards, the problem is only synchro.
Is there a solution to fix that, or is it due to my computer?

I believe you are using Haali media splitter.
You dont fiil your system specification...
What OS? are you using EVR? This can cause such problems.

You can split your MKV by MKVmerge and send here small example, so i can try it.

To play HD video with DXVA:
If you have WinXP + ATI, use Catalyst 8.5, or you will see nice BSOD, freezes, etc 8.6-8.9 is not working in WinXP!!!

Is this still valid after the codec change? (Thanks, btw )
I refuse to use that old codec Luckily ATi owners can also use the free AVIVO pack for HD.

And yes - to lazy to test (/screw up mys system) ATM - but will probably do one time

MPC-HC works fine for me with 8.10 so as it uses the same codecs as SAF there shouldn't be any problems. The ATi AVIVO decoders are inferior to MPC as ATi(now AMD) haven't updated them since 2006.

Yes, i have problems with 8.10, but it seems it is somehow connected to MediaPortal.

I tried to play an avi file yesterday, and it is just stopped, without any response to any keypress.

i find out, that in the background a window appeared: Avi chunk viewer. ( My MP is set up to be always on top, that's why it appeared in the background.

I clicked "Don't show this window again" so it never stopped the playback again.

Benoe, did you uninstall al other codex packs before SAF ??
Avi chunk viewer, is a tool that is installed whit K-Lite codex pack that i know of.

Uninstall all that crap, every last thing you can find regarding codex, packs, players.
and just use the SAF, then it will all work like a charm

No, I did not installed any codec pack!

I installed CoreAVC after SAF to play HDTV content.
