ssjunior, just an idea, might not work b/c tsreader and ffdshow don't like each other.

Enable aac for ffdshow as you have already done.
Deregister monogram aac (unregsvr32 /u) (This will prevent it from being used)
Add 'ffdshow audio' to tv post processing.
The above might force MP to use ffdshow for aac.

There is also hd pack 2.2 - DVB Support - HD Pack
It contains elecard aac decoder and divx aac decoder that you could try.

PS: If mp config tv section is not letting you choose codecs, you could try letting it use directshow merits, then change the merits manually to try and force the desired audio codec. To adjust merits you can use 'radlight filter manager', after adjusting merits you need to relogin to windows for the changes to take effect.

Thanks for your help. I did test the kiwijunglist suggestion above and it not work. Although MP connects the stream correctly to ffdshow, no audio is heard. So the option to use ffdshow to decode LATM AAC is not working.

I will continue to use a patched version of TsReader and libaafwrapper to continue to see ISDBT. The problem is related to TsReader too, thats why it needs to be patched. I was trying to avoid using a patched version of TsReader, but, as you can see...

Just like in older versions I have issues with ffdshow audio. It just doesn't work. I always uninstall every codec known to man from my system before I install SAF, and then configure it as stated in page 1. But I don't get any sound. If I then install AC3Filter and replace that with every ffdshow Audio in the config, all works fine.

I'm using S/PDIF to transfer my audio to a seperate audio decoder.

What could be casuing this?

Anyone else having issues with ATi catalyst 9.11 drivers?

I've got 785G chipset with onboard HD4200, fresh install of Win7 32bit, installed SAF *unlocked*, and I'm not getting any DXVA decoding whatsoever. Even using MPC-HC standalone has the same results. Some files won't play, and some play but with no hardware assistance.

I'm about to try 9.10 to see if it fixes it. I'll let you guys know. Might have to put 9.11 drivers on the blacklist...

Yes i believe I read somewhere in an ATI forum (Rage3D.com I think) that DXVA is broken in 9.11.

I have an audio sync issue when using SPDIF while watching live TV.

The TV (and HTPC) is configured at 1920@50Hz

I have configured my HTPC as stated in is thread (and every other combination possible).

With SPDIF audio (through a sony surround sound amp), the audio is slightly out of sync to the TV, but if I switch back to using HDMI audio its all fine - the only thing I change is the default Sound device (between the ATI HDMI device and the SPDIF device) - Everything else stays the same.

Can anyone help? *I am assuming there must be a delay in the decoding somewhere*

I searched the thread and did not see anything else like this described.

I have what I would describe as Blinking or flashing of video on some video. It always does this on one TV station but never on the others. Once in a while playing a DVD will also do this.

I have attached a very short clip that exhibits this on my system. I think it is related to the PDVD9 decoder but can’t prove it. Thanks in advance for any suggestions…

Is there a way to switch ffdshow audio profiles from within MediaPortal?

I've got to delay audio if I'm watching something with DTS, and I have a profile that is about 130ms but I have to close MP, switch profiles each time.
