    Hi Hoborg,

Tried to install saf400beta23test7 unlocked version onto machine with Vista32 bit

I get the following error "8.0.1531" found! ; This software should be uninstalled before installing

Looks like the problems is in MPG. After open and save in Womble (without reencoding), problem is gone.

The original TS demonstrates the same problem, so it's not the MPG.

It is MPEG-2 in TS, no big difference.

I have no idea how to fix it ...

    That is PowerDVD8...

    SAF and feature

I am thinking about replacing MPC DXVA video decoder by FFDShow DXVA decoder. Primary reason is support for DXVA and subtitles. This is not important for MediaPortal becouse it have its own subtitle engine...

FFDshow DXVA decoder is based on MPC video decoder. There is still problems (like not working seek on DXVA 2.0 - Vista/Win7), some videos have problems, etc..., but progess going very well.

So looks like it is time to push SAF to 4.00 final version...

So here is SAF 4.00 beta23 - this is something like RC1. I will be not updating any filters in this version any longer. If no problem will be reported, it will be released as 4.00 final. ETA is 1.3.2010...

    Please test and report. Thanks.

Hoborg: I didn't quite get you there - do you mean that this latest beta uses ffdshow DXVA instead of MPC? Or is it the final version that will? What have you updated in the latest beta?

Nope. Firstly i will release SAF 4.00 "final" with MPC DXVA decoder. Then i will start to work on SAF 4.10 with FFDShow DXVA decoder (MPC decoder will be replaced completly).

Do I still need to add ffdshow to postprocessing with 4.10 experimental?

    @easywatcher:

    Man, you have disabled PMs...

Now it worked. And most things work fine.
Even the HD videos in .mkv format now work in MP. But there is no sound for them.
    The .avi films work completely.

    Have I configured something wrong?

    Thanks for helping
