View attachment 27445

source video - MKV with 2inside sub streams (english+czech)
splited by Haali - Haali autoload VobSub (v2.39) - dont know why, but it is named as 0002
video decoder MPC-HC 1.1.604 (theres no version info, but only latest version have "codecs" screen.

This is how my configuration (SAF) working.

Hi hoborg- your screenshot is different to what I see- mine says "DirectVobSub (forced auto loading version)" - why does mine says this and not yours?

I have no idea.
Look on your DirectVobSub version - is it version 2.39?

Hoborg is it possible for you to post a screenshot of the graph that is created? (using graphstudio, connect to remote graph) i'm curious

No problem, but i newer did that. If you give me instruction, i will do it.

OK, there is something not working- I select MPC-HC video decoder in MP Configuration but when I play a HD clip in MP DirectVobSub shows Cyberlink h.264 codec is being used?

Sometime some filters have highter priority then others, or you dont have enabled suport in MPC-HC (SAF did this automaticly)
Simply uninstall your PoverDVD - this should fix your problem.

    1) Download RadScorpion’s blog MONOGRAM GraphStudio (below the screenshot, graphstudio.exe (1060 KB))
    2) Start graphstudio (it's a single executable)
    3) Start playback of your mkv with subtitles (from within MediaPortal)
    4) Tab to graphstudio and select File -> Connect to Remote Graph en select the first (and only) option in there

A graph will be drawn showing all the filters used and how they are connected.

But I would like to use PowerDVD decoder for MPEG2 as MPV does not work on some DVDs for me- is there a way to save the MPEG2 decoder but uninstall the h.264 one?

Can you confirm that the MPC Video Decoder filter in there is in fact version 1.1.604?

-> Right-click on MPC Video Decoder in the graph -> properties..
-> Go to the Filter tab
-> Check the version under "Version Info"

Your graph looks as expected for a mkv video with subtitles.
Funny that DirectVobSubis is listed as 0002.

There is nothing like version info.
But as i wrote before, only latest MPC-HC have "codecs" tab.

    from MPC-HC change log:
    Changes :
    * Improved support for audio and subtitle switching with internal Mpeg splitter.
    * Size shrink for translation DLLs
    * New property page for "MPC - Video decoder" standalone filter to select activated codecs
    * Option added in "MPC Video Decoder" property page to disable ffmpeg software decoding (to use other decoder instead)
    * Added file extensions Evo, M2ts and m4a in option / format
    * Force using 3D surface with EVR custom
    * x64 executable is now mplayerc64.exe

OK, I uninstalled PowerDVD8Ultra but now no PowerDVD MPEG2 decoder is listed- can I reinstall your SAF or do I have to do something manually?

Also, when I select MPV instead I get something about Elecard and my trial has run out and the video stops playing.

Plus, now the HD clips that used to work with Cyberlink (and brought up DirectVobSub) now do not even open at all- the ones that used to open but with sound only and no DirectVobSub appearing still work with no picture?
