I usually rip my DVDs to ISO and use MP + Deamon tools to automount the DVD. But I have also tried some DVDs directly.
DVDs (original) I have tried are for example The Dark Night and Hancock. DVD ISOs are Asterix and Lucky Luke (MP is growing popular at home). All of the above DVDs are working on my other computer with a identical setup.
Since I experience the same behaviour within PowerDVD8 is suspect a Nvidia driver and PowerDVD incomatibility for Geforce 9300...I actually sent a question to Cyberlink but I has not got any answers.
Got an answer from Cyberlink...
Dear Jonas,
Thank you for contacting CyberLink Technical Support.
We understand your concern related with DVD menu navigation issues.
Please note that it is the issue with the nvidia drivers.
We deeply regret for the inconvenience caused.
Interesting to see what Nvidia has to say about this...
Well, looks like it is time to get ATI 4550
