Well it worked changing .mov to .mkv, but probably because it stops quicktime stuff interfering.Nonsence - simply change avi to mkv didn't change anything.

Well, i can add avi splitter in to SAF too, so avi + subtitles shudn't be a problem anylonger
EDIT:
I just try it and it is working in MP.
So AVI + subtitles support will be added in next SAF relase.

??
Are you saying that using SAF i can get DVXA/subtitles watching some HDTV/avi with the MP internal player ?
That would be great!
I am planning to get MP with DVXA through 780G setting MPC-HC as External Player ( yes i lose the MP menus and some integration ), but perfect perfect would to find some wat that only HD files ( basically mkv container ) plays through MPC-HC, leaving avi container to be played through MP Internal Player ...
Thanks for the great work you do with SAF

hehe, no prob
I will keep my plan and go with MPC-HC as "External Player"!
Do you think that in a near future we will have DVXA+Subtitles support built in MP ?
( i am not asking for a date, but for you analysis/prediction )
Do you see any problem ( beside break the visual integration ) in using MPC-HC as "External Player" to get HD content through DVXA with subtitles ?

Are you absolutely sure these are copyrightable as the k-lite pack seems to include Cyberlink ver. 8 mpeg2 decoder?
